@tjuls pardon me for my ignorance. If my progesterone is mid 30s in a natural cycle and the doctors are saying that's great...how come yours is not good enough at 80? Maybe that's why I've never got a bfp..I've tried getting progesterone as I tend to start spotting a few days before but they refused to give as well.

Hang in there @jodihon! Stay positive! It's pretty common to feel crampy in the tww due to implantation. As long as the red witch hasn't shown her face, it's good news (my mantra is no news is good news in the first few weeks). AF usually will arrive only around the time of your scheduled BT so sounds like there are good workings in there if you are feeling it now. Discharge is quite common too because the cervix can be irritated. So long as no blood, you are fine!

Think happy thoughts! I'm sending you loads of sticky baby dust!

Good on you and your big double O plan (Oripro and orgasm). After starting Crinone, I had almost zero libido for the first trimester so was pretty glad about the non-action. Haha.

I'm well @hopefulangel1987. Just hanging around. I'm due in Dec.

Welcome @Cantw8ttobmummy! You have found a great thread to join and we are happy to be part of your journey! Sorry to hear that the clomid didn't work, but Primary has been a godsend for many of us here and I'm sure your wish will come true soon too! Do you need to do follow up blood tests?

Hi @Giraffez, are you referring to prog at mid 30s before fertility treatments? I could be wrong but I think it might be that if prog is in mid 30s naturally, then when analysing for fertility problems, they will not consider that a problem since its above the threshold of 20.

But in IVF, I think most of the FS play safe and try to prescribe more prog to up it to at least 80-100 for extra support. Mine was 146 at the beta test time. That said, I think prog is only one of many many factors so having low prog doesn't mean the cycle won't work because the body probably doesn't produce as much naturally anyway (not until the pregnancy progresses anyway). If prog is the main problem, it'll be an easy solution to many people.

So who knows? I still believe that it's all such a miracle and a game of roulette?!?!

I'm alright @Cantw8ttobmummy! Just travelling along in the second trimester for now and trying darn hard not to complain. I couldn't quite sleep last night because it's getting uncomfortable in any position I try to snuggle up in but bub has been very inspired by the Olympics and was doing gymnastics in there quite a lot. But for me, the worry and anxiety never really stops. I just had a scan 2 weeks back and am already wondering how things are in there.

Hope you get those tests out of the way soon and have the FS appt lined up! Then we can all tune in for action on your end, it'll be very exciting! 🏻

@Giraffez- the general consensus in the fertility world is that a cd21 prog of 30 or above is sufficient to support a pregnancy. They test ur cd21 prog in a natural cycle to see if u are deficient. If you are, then first line treatment is to add prog.

There are many women out there who can fall pregnant with a prog level of 30. But personally, from the literature and from the internet, there are many more women who need a higher prog to help them get there. Just like fsh injections- some women will only require a small dose to get their ovaries responding, some require more.

My cd21 prog before I started ivf was 34. My ob/gynae says it's normal, my fs says it's normal. The only person who says it's not is me...haha.. I've always been suspicious that I had an e2: prog imbalance.. even though the doc says my e2 and prog were within normal range.. I felt it wasnt...so I was determined to follow my instincts and dose up the prog and reduce my e2.

If u get ur prog high enough, u can rule that out and move on to other reasons why embie isnt sticking.

If you want my opinion, if u're spotting days before af, that means ur prog level is dropping off too early and that's enough cause for extra prog support.
Besides- there's no such thing as too much prog

I'm going to stockpile my unused crinone just in case I might need it later!!! I've also decided to take 2 cycles off IVF (I did two cycles of IUI at another clinic before coming to primary) just to let my body feel normal again!! The meds made me feel so bloated, moody, constipated and just yuk!! I think having the two cycles off will do both mind and body good! Already back at gym and feel better already I hope everyone else is going well in their journeys .
