@SimSam8- yup u still have the scans done and they usually start u on day 10-13 depending on ur blood results. Usually there's only 1 or 2 scans in a natural FET.. and 2-3 bloods and 1 scan before they schedule a date for the transfer.

Hi @SimSam8 - the referral forms for the scans go straight to the clinic as they are right there with Primary. When you get there, just announce your name and they will look it up for you. The nurses literally walk over and hand the referrals to the receptionist there. You should have a text message from the nurse for the scan date and time, so you just have to show them that. There was one time when they couldn't find my form but they got it all sorted after I showed them the text message (the form was dated wrongly by nurse).

@Montaz, FETs are pretty straight forward. If you want to, I can suggest ask about:
    1) your frosties - what grades are they? (not that it really matters, just if you wanted to know.
    2) progesterone - how much prog support is she putting you on? I don't think you have a history to show that you need more than usual, the typical is Crinone x 2 a day (which is 80mg x 2 = 160mg) or Oripro pessaries (1 a day = 200mg), so check with her. if you have concerns for low prog levels, then ask for more (that is if you know).

If i think of anything else, I will let you know.

Thanks @VickyP u r sucha sweetheart. Always a big help.
I just came back from there. And so disappointed !!! I dont know is it just me or dr.george is like that with everyone. She said i have a good quality embies... like really really good quality. Then she said i have to sign for a two cycle consent form,in case u dont conceive in first so u dont have to come back to me again.
Then she said because i dont get my pwriods regular so shes putting me on some hormonal tablets. GOD knows what r they now. Shes like m preparing everything and pass down to nurse. They will call u soon. That was it!!!!
Aftr i recovered from EPU i usually get light cramps in lower abdomen on and off..so i told her abt that and shes like nothing to worry its normal..normal like how??
Anyhow now i have to wait for nurse's call 😡😡

Oh, sorry that my message was late @Montaz.

Yes - Dr SG is hopeless at giving info. Getting any details out of her is like squeezing water out of stone. You have to be really pushy if you want answers. For me, ignorance was bliss because I didn't know otherwise and just went along what she said. And yes, my appt was like 5 mins too.

Yes, consent form for FET is for 2 cycles back to back. So you don't have to wait 30 days, get an appt and do it again if the first one doesn't work. Obviously we all hope it will!

It sounds like you are on a medicated FET. Because your AF is not regular, they will need to put you on some medication to make sure you ovulate. For FET, you either get a natural or medicated cycle.

When the nurse calls, ask them what is it you are put on - don't allow them to make you uncomfortable. If there's something you want to know, don't be afraid to ask! That's my advice.

Overall, it does sound "normal" (except the medication but because I was on a natural cycle so I can't comment).

And if you are still getting your cramps, tell the nurses too!

@VickyP i usually get my AF around 2 to 6 or 7 days late but i dont know if y call it irregular.
And yeah one more thing, she said i was realyy uncomfortable during my EPU..i was like no i wasnt 😂😂😂 shes like yeah u dont know because of anesthesia but u kept moving as if u were uncomfortable so do u thing we should do your FET under anesthesia....and she asked me if i was ok ehen o had my pap smear. I was like yeah it wasnt painful just lil bit uncomfortable. Shes like yeah thats normal.
Then she asked me if i got crinone on EPU day, i was like yeah i did. She goes alright u have to start that ..i was like when, she goes burse will inform u. Aaahhhhh the whole thing is doing my head in!!! Nothing is making any sense. Hope fully nurse is gonna clear my mind.

@hopefulangel1987 wow! Just wow how amazing and that is a great beta!
@Montaz I'm doing my 2nd medicated FET I'm in Melbourne though so it may be a litt different in on progenova 6mgs daily then have scan and blood test day 10 to check hormones and lining - then usually a 2nd blood test then I've been told my transfer date. I'm in progesterone pesseries this time instead of crinone.

AFM - my next transfer is Monday whick is quite early but my lining was 10.3 on day 10 so I guess that's why

@Montaz, don't get stressed! It doesn't do any good! You need to stay positive for this journey. Don't let the unknown deter you - I went in blank as well not knowing what to expect and you just learn along the way!

Yes, Nurse will tell you when to start Crinone. Usually the day before transfer or a couple of days before - depending on your blood tests and the progesterone levels detected. Crinone is meant to support the implantation and pregnancy so it doesn't make sense to "waste it" too early. So they start you on your progesterone when your scans and bloood tests indicate that you have ovulated and are now ready to welcome an embie home.

    Hope that makes sense now?

It sounds to me like you are someone who needs to know everything, if not you get very anxious, so I would say don't panic, just put your questions on here and someone is bound to be able to answer given all our experience combined! 🏻

You are quite the opposite of me. I was pretty happy being ignorant and just following instructions back then. Haha.
