@MsQueenie hugzz the 2ww is always hard isn't it. Sometimes u hope u are busy enough at work to get ur mind off it but at the same token u don't want to be too busy as well.

How do they decide whether to do a 3 or 5 day transfer?

Nothing to report on my end @Montaz, just trotting along and preparing ourselves.

Congrats @MsQueenie on being PUPO! Just stay positive and watch loads of comedies! Vits and healthy foods too will help! When's your BT? Next Wed? Sending you lots of sticky baby dust!

It seems that they would prefer to do a 3D transfer if you have less number of blasts @Giraffez. I think they would prefer to put it back into your oven if you don't have too many embies because they prefer to try their chances baking them in the oven than in a dish and risk them not making to Day 5. That's what I gather...

@Montaz just waiting to see the specialist for possibly moving on to ivf.

Can I ask u ladies how u deal with asking for time off work etc? Especially when it's so hard to know exactly which days u need off..

@Montaz hey hun sorry i have a bad memory, where are you up to in your journey?
@Giraffez I was lucky in a little way, I could use my RDO (rostered day off) with little notice but I also took afew sick days (all with med certs) and if i had to travel (1hr train ride there) just for a bt or scan, I would ask if i could start late and just stay back. I could tell work was getting annoyed with me but had to do what I needed to do

Life would be easier if your able to just tell your manager whats going on

Thank you ladies for all the support! 2ww is hard! My blood test is at the end of the month...it feels so long away.
@hopefulangel1987, I'm telling myself now not to POAS but I know the closer it comes to Sep 30, the more my willpower will be tested. I might test the day before because I don't want to find out the news with a call at work. I'd rather not get emotional in public. If it's negative, at least I'll have the night before to process the news. Did you ladies test before?
@Giraffez, I had the same problem with work. I didn't want to tell them too much so I just gave my manager a heads up the week before saying I needed 2 days off for some minor surgery and that I would confirm the actual dates later. He was understanding about it. I work in a job that requires lots of customer meetings so I had to keep telling people I was going on medical leave at some point the following week. Everyone was good about it but if this cycle doesn't work, I'm dreading going through the story again as people will start wondering what kind of surgery I am doing.
@VickyP, baby prep must be so exciting!! So much shopping and baby stuff to research!! Hehe

Hang in there @MsQueenie, try to focus on something else. Like chilling and watching comedies. I had exams in the middle of my 2WW so I was lucky because I focused on studying for most of the first week. I poas-ed on 6dp5dt. My ET was on a Monday and I poas-ed on Sunday and got a squinter. I would say try to wait until 7d or 8dp5dt, but like you, I didn't want to find out from a phone call too and had wanted time to process the news. DH was so eager to find out that it didn't help.

@Giraffez, I also told people at work that I had some minor surgery to do on the day of EPU and basically just took time off in the mornings (I tried to schedule the appts all early in the morning) and some medical leave. It helped that I work around the corner in the city - about 10 mins walk from Primary, so it was easy to zip in and out. Had to be really creative about excuses, but you just got to do what you need to do. Depending on your relationship with your manager and co-workers, you might want to tell them if you feel comfortable but I didn't want to entertain questions on whether it worked or not, so I decided not to say anything. I was very lucky as it only took the next FET for me to get my BFP.

Thanks @Montaz and @MsQueenie, we will all have our bubs in our arms soon! I'm sending everyone lots of sticky baby dust!

    Thanks @hopefulangel1987 @Montaz @MsQueenie @VickyP

I work in a really small office and there isn't much back up available when u need it. Doesn't help when clients are so demanding these days!
