afm, no news on ivf/DE. it feels further away each week & I'm slowing making peace with it all. handed in another assignment/essay today so have been busy working on that lately. one more to go for this subject
Hmmm. The first thing I would ask is "Would your FS allow you to do both surrogacy and your own FET's at the same time?" I *think* I read somewhere that most clinics like a 6 month break between your own cycles and surrogacy but then again, that may only be when you're doing local surrogacy. It's certainly worth looking into though, anything that gives you another opportunity is a good thing.
With regard to accessing super, I'm not sure how much surrogacy costs but I believe that early release of super is limited to what is 'reasonable.' Who deems what to be reasonable is anyone's guess, lol. (God knows everything I've paid to date has been pretty bl00dy unreasonable )
Another thing to consider....I did read recently that women tend to have lining issues after they have been exposed to persistent stims and medications. Forgive me for not remembering, but have you been on a lot of meds this year? I'm just wondering if potentially having a few months free of all medication and starting with a fresh slate might help? At the end of the day it doesn't matter if you carry your own baby or not - but if there is a chance that you could I wouldn't want you to miss out on it.
I reckon....do a bit of research, and have a bit of a think before you decide which way to go. Big hugs to you hon, I know how long you've waited and suggesting you cool your jets is probably NOT want you want to hear At the end of the day you have to do what you are comfortable with.
Lining issues after persistent stims and meds. Hmmm I was already starting off not so great and I can safely say the struggle has continued each cycle. I'm petrified I'm doing de and it will get cancelled because of my lining.
Nonetheless Flights booked for Cape Town on 19/08 and I'm well into the kitchen sink protocol. Donors tests all came back fine and she's agreed to the schedule so it's all go.
Pray for my lining ladies please xx
