@Tinachris - thanks for asking. Hasnt gotten worse but still there. It's hard for me to be optimistic as the only time I've had this type of spotting was with a blighted ovum about 18 months ago which started about exactly the same time.

@greenlady I hope you are going ok. It seems bleeding is the norm for IVF pregnancies, but I guess that doesn't help when its happening to you. Take care...

AFM - Triggered last night. My E2 said GO so cant fight the hormones! Was told I have 5 mature with 6 shortly behind. So the lady at scan yesterday wasn't clear. EPU tomorrow morning. Anything above 5 is a bonus. Anything above 1 is a blessing. xx
@Billie2 - sounds to me like you may get 5 or more tomorrow as those other 6 could mature between trigger and EPU.

It must be hard hun and I would be the same as you after my history of blighted ovum and chemicals but you have to remember this embryo was a pgd tested normal which has implanted so your chances are really good. When is your scan? Have your rang your clinic for advice??

@Heyside - scan isn't until Mon 25 July so still 13 days away - would be 7 weeks 2 days by then. I don't really know what to do. I know they won't be able to reassure me in the absence of a scan. I've been through the saga in the past of repeat HCGs and multiple scans at this early stage when no one would call it a miscarriage and it dragged on for 3 weeks until finally my OB agreed to a d and C at 8 weeks. In hindsight I wish I had remained in ignorance for 3 weeks and turned up at my OB at 8 weeks to be told there was an empty sac as the limbo over 3 weeks was excruciating. I expect your experience with a blighted ovum was probably similar. I don't think there is any good solution to managing them.

Yes @greenlady my situation was very similar, I was told early on the pregnancy wasn't viable as the numbers weren't rising sufficiently so I had repeat bloods week after week to keep an eye on things. My issue was they couldn't locate pregnancy and were worried about ectopic, fortunately they found it in the uterus at 8 weeks and I miscarried naturally at 12 weeks. It was hell on earth and I can so understand you not wanting to repeat anything like it. Your embryo is known to be normal this time though hun so odds are in your favour but I so understand you thinking the worst and I am sure you wont be reasurred until that baby is in your arms. I think maybe some advice from your clinic would be reasurring though hun 13 days is a long time to be worrying about this, maybe they could scan you early, not necessarily looking for a sac or heartbeat but maybe to see if there is any obvious cause to the bleeding. How much blood is there and have you put yourself on bed rest?

@Heyside - your experience sounds awful too. I don't think it's a massive amount - it always looks more than it is. Yesterday there was more liquidity to it and it was more red than today whereas today is thicker discharge so far ( probably it's mixed with the pessary residue which I seem to expel every morning - delightful!). I'm just too scared to do a scan due. It's a double edged sword in that it could be reassuring but on the other hand could plunge me into limbo and I just can't take that risk. I guess I'm between a rock and a hard place at the moment!

Anyways... i just wanted to tell you that im a high school teacher (not a special needs teacher or anything just your garden variety teacher) and i have taught lots of asd kids in main****** over the last ten years and they're some of the coolest people ive ever met. Also wanted to tell you about a book by temple grandin, who is high functioning, i think her book is called 'the autistic brain' and i reckon the coolest thing about it, is that its written by an autistic person about what its like to think like a person with an asd brain. (Im probably teaching you to suck eggs) Just thought i would highly recommend that book as part of your research if you havent already read it. And, thanks for everything you do for everyone on here, me included xox

    Thank-you for the compliment...but I'm hardly a celebrity Luv!!!

If I'm known it's more for my infamy around here!!!! Methinks I've probably pi$$ed more people off in my time than actually helped them

Thank-you so much for the book recommendation, I really appreciate it I will be sure to purchase it and read it

Nothing wrong with teachers Luv!! My cousin's one (Primary School...lower grades and has been for well over 20 years)....an excellent one if I do say so myself as I'm sure you are too!!!

Good luck with your upcoming Cycle too (Greece isn't it??). and prayers being sent for a BFFP for you!!!!

@greenlady I can understand your reasoning. Todays blood definitely sounds less though which is good as you said it will always look like more mixed with cm and pessaries etc

5 mature sounds good to me Luv!!! Hopefully you might pick up a bonus egg or 2 from the 6 behind!!!

and prayers being sent for 5 of the best at EPU tomorrow Luv!!!!

P.S...Yes, I am all over it Luv. I have to be as I'm also dealing with Public system atm which I am grateful for, don't get me wrong, but it also means that DD could easily fall through the cracks and get forgotten about etc so I'm all over all the Gov't Services/Dept's like flies on sh!t!!!!

Yeah...this isn't a Parenting Thread Luv so I'm mindful to keep the talk about DD to the bare minimum even though I know it's ok (I think) to do updates etc. I just try not to. Would rather support you Lovelies on your journey instead
