    Default ruptured eardrum

My daughter (4yrs old) woke up yesterday with this pus/discharge coming out of her of her ear so I rushed off to the doctor and they told me her ear drum is ruptured. t
They said it will heal on its own and because she hasn't got a fever and is well otherwise not to start antibiotics yet but I got a script just in case it gets worse.
My question is how long will the pus keep coming out of her ear?
and seeing she is well otherwise is it ok to send her to daycare tomorrow?

I'd be getting the antibiotics as you don't want it to turn into an infection and for DD to get sick. As for daycare you'll probably have to play it by ear (no pun intended) and see how she feels. But if you get that call to pick her up you'll have to. Maybe some Panadol today as she may have a bit of pain.

But on the doctors part to basically say don't worry about it is nuts.

It's things like this can could lead to infections and hearing issues in the future
