Just to update you ladies. We had a bit of a scare this morning. I had some bleeding. So headed in to see Wazza. Bub is still doing ok but I'd had another vessel ooze/rupture. So now on official bed rest until 12 weeks. He's also increased some of my meds and put me on some extra support meds and valium. Not going to be easy with my 1 and a half year old but hopefully between DH and my mum we can work it out.
@Heyside i have to apologise to you as I think i may have pushed ahead of you this morning. I thought it was you waiting and wanted to say hi but was feeling very anxious. I hope i didn't cause you too much inconvenience and i hope your scan went well xo

I had my scan this morning and not much has changed since Monday, I have a couple of follies at 16mm but the others are all smaller. So looks like an epu on Monday or Tuesday if we can push it out that far for pgd. Not the best situation but have to deal with what we have. My menapur dose has been upped but keeping puregon at the same dose. Next scan on Saturday.

@mrsparso - Hi hun I sent you a pm after I left Warrens room this morning. I just wasn't in the zone to be looking for people today and it took me for ever to realise it was you after only meeting you the once, didnt expect to see you as you went yesterday. So sorry to hear of your scare sounds like bed rest is a good plan hopefully it does the job and you can organise your DS around it. He is such a cutie by the way your DS 😊.

I'm a Wazza patient doing PGD. Are there only particular days you can have EPU if you're doing PGD?

Yes unfortunately @LittleDove its only because the lab isn't open for testing over the weekend so if your embies are day 5 on a weekend it cant be done. If EPU falls on a Tuesday they will push them out until they reach day 6 and do the testing then. If epu is Monday then pgd cant be done due to them being day 5/6 on a weekend. Its frustrating but apparently Warren has argued with the lab in the past about it. I haven't spoke to him yet about our options if epu has to be Monday not sure if they will freeE and re thaw for testing which isnt the best option.

Ugh! Yet another thing to worry about. Currently I'm down for a Tuesday pick up next week so that means PGD the following Monday. So would Tuesday be counted as day 1 or would day 1 be Wednesday?
How long does it take to get the PGD results back? If you have EPU on Monday then would you consider doing a day 3 biopsy instead?

@LittleDove - Day 1 would be Wednesday if epu is Tuesday so your testing could be done on Monday the following week which would make your embies day 6. I don't know much about 3 day biopsies but for us that would probably mean testing a hell of a lot of embryos that won't make it to day 5 as we usually have big egg nunbers and fert rates but then they all drop off around day 4. Results usually come back pretty quickly I think first time around 8 days and last cycle maybe atound 10 days.

I hope I will be joining you next Tuesday for epu and mine doesn't have to be Monday suppose I will find out at scan in Saturday. When is your next scan?

    Good luck hun x
