@gorgeousgorge I want to get in early and wish you all the best xxxx will be thinking of you. Stay strong lovely xxx
Hey girls, i have my first consult with Wazza on Monday.
Im flying in from Albury which is border of NSW and VIC.
I have to go by myself as DH is in the army and couldnt get the time off.
Im already on my 2nd FS in Sydney but im desperate for Wazza to offer some help and a miracle. Hoping we can also move to Brissy next year.
I just had an FET yesterday, not very confident as the Day 5 blasty didnt really re expand on thawing so looked squished and unhappy.
I have 3 blastys left in storage so im undecided atm whether to just use them up in Sydney and then start fresh with Wazza or to transfer them to Wazza.
I guess ill discuss all that with him.
Im ****ting myself about flying though. I have really bad anxiety and haty flying. The fact there was 2 incidents yesterday with qantas and jetstar has just made the anxiety worse!!!!
Ok, so you'll never guess what happened. I got called for a Wazza cancellation on Wed, which I took. Boy were the flights super expensive to buy last minute!
Anyway, hit with the whirlwind of info, but Wazza wasn't as optimistic as Genea were for the following reason: I'm old, I'm old and I'm old at 40, I have an AMH of 6 and a lining of 7mm on CD13 and 6.8mm on CD24. He said he prefers a lining of between 8-10. He said this was a big problem and I might need to consider donor eggs or surrogacy. Im hoping I'll get some embies growing to day 5, he doesn't seem sure I'll get any and told me not to be surprised if I get none...
I'll be doing PGD too.
He put me and DH on the usual list of supplements. I'll also be on DHEA and melatonin and all the other meds a lot of you ladies are taking to improve lining, including progynova on cd2. I was hoping he'd start progynova a week before AF, but forgot to ask.
He also wants to use prednisone, clexane, aspirin, intralipids and do a lipodial flush and endo scratch (aka biopsy for NKC). He thinks I might have a small amount of silent endo on the left, but he didn't think I should do anything about it.
I might do the flush, scratch/biopsy, laprascopy and intralipids with Dr M, since he tests for different things and well, if I do have an immune issue, I don't want to have to repeat the biopsy and I think if there is some silent endo, I think I should get it removed..
He was very open minded and listened when I showed him a recent article on the delayed start protocol with estrogen priming. He said he was very interested in new things and would read it while pooping lol.
He gave me time to ask questions, but I literally forgot them all....
I'll be cycling in Oct with 600IU puregon half doses and 600IU menopur on alternate days on half doses. Thinking I might back to back cycle and transfer in Dec..
I walked away from that appointment feeling defeated.. He doesn't seem positive for me.
Hi @Evelynmoo - I have 2 x 3 day embies in Sydney and he said I should use them. I suggested transferring them to him to grow to day 5, but he thought I should just go back to my FS in Sydney and just ask her to put them back. I'd rather die than go back to that FS!
Wow @pingc383 that seems like an intense appt and intense treatment. Im a bit scared now what he'll say to me as although im 28 my lining only gets to 6.5 to 6.8mm and my AMH is now 12.
Im a bit worried about doing all that intense treatment while still living interstate in case something happens to me. I have a heart condition so i have anxiety about my heart reacting to everything.
Awh ladies don't be defeated. I'm 40 and have a very low ahm level but i tried all of the meds and have managed a wazza miracle as we are now 30wks pregnant. It was very hard to hear at first that I'm old and didnt hold much hope as i only was producing 3 eggs max, you only meed that magic 1. But it can happen and it did. We were positive and it was a very full on few months with all the meds and injections. But it's all worth it now. He is very honest and tells you as it is. I have my fingers crossed for you all xx

I'm just going to cycle and cycle and if no golden egg by the time I'm 41, I'll consider donor. But for now, I've only done 2 fresh cycles with a low cost clinic!! Best to give it a good go before I give up! I'm dedicated to just give it a go and see!!!!
Are you cycling in Oct hun? I'm currently on day 26. AF should be due tomorrow, but I'm hoping it might be delayed a couple of days cos maybe I can start when AF comes.. I won't transfer this cycle, I just want to try and get as many embies to day 5.. I feel like if I wait until day 21, that's one cycle I missed out on!!!!!! Since I'm not transferring, I won't need to worry about lining this cycle!
I'm surprised tho, only because I thought the stims thickened up our lining? Surely they cause a slightly thicker lining????
He told me the same as you @Charlie74, that I may have had an infection causing thin lining. I disagree with that, only because I've never ever had any pain in my uterus ever and my cycles have been shortish and I have very light AFs! I think I was just born with a thinner lining!
He's definitely the best!! But Genea told me they stopped worrying about lining measurements when they had numerous patients get a live birth with a lining of 5.8-6.5!!!
Yeah i agree with @Chyna ladies. Try to stay positive. He told me that if we didn't have DS he would say my eggs were no good and to go with donor eggs. But on the second cycle with him we managed to make it happen. I think he is really upfront and direct to prepare you and not to give you false hope. But it doesn't mean he won't give it everything to try and make it happen for you.
