This. And sad to say, this is something too many Australians have in common

How does the ABC call a win for certain seats where only 75-80% of the votes have been counted and the difference is 1% between L/NP and labor? I think they've jumped the gun. Even Antony green says it's going to be a slim win for the coalition.

I'm not sure. I was watching the ABC commentary last night and they kept on talking about how postal votes still need to be counted and how historically postal votes have favoured Liberal over Labour. That *may* be what they are basing their predictions on.

Its computer generated calculations dependant on probabilities. Antony Green is actually putting these probabilities in due to trends and previous elections. He also had access to the actual polling booths that are not counted and knows which party it leans towards.

He actually has not called it yet. He did say there is doubtful to have an outright majority government.

Last night the ABC had the coalition at 74 seats and now 67. That's what is funny! That Scott Morrison was convinced that they would form government. I never thought labor would win but they've done better than most people guessed! I hope Malcolm is listening, but going by his speech last night, I don't think so. I hope the do form majority government. It won't be too long before they implode anyway!

This exactly and here I was thinking that the population was becoming more tolerant and accepting. How wrong was I?

Yep me too. She's passionate yet controlled. Intelligent but still accessible to the masses. She actually gets my vote over Albanese.

I don't think we have more of these creeps. They have just moved camps from voting Libs to the Lambies, Niles and Hansons bc they see Turnbull as too 'left'.

I think the Libs will end up forming a government. Whether that is in their own right, or with Katter and 1 or 2 others ... they still will form government.

I do hope for Australia's sake that it is a majority government. I would prefer a Majority Labor government than the trade-offs and horse trading involved in a minority government. It is just bad for the country ....

The hung parliament was disasterous for Julia Gillard. She had to trade away so many of their major promises and plans and it meant that she could not govern the way she wanted to ... ending in Libs winning the next election emphatically
