I tip labor will win the next election. This is the last term of the Libs. The swing towards Labor and the Lambie's and Hansons says a lot. Who has the Libs got to replace Turnbull that isn't the usual Boys Club conservative that we've already had?

Labor has Albanese and Wong among others. DH just said to me how amazing would it be for Wong to take the reins? Not only a woman, but a proud gay woman with a family

Well it's all not as bad as I feared. I think we have all sent a message.

But, I am feeling wtf about Bob Katter (55% of the vote last time I checked), and despondent about Pauline Hanson. Do we all remember when she was pilloried and mercilessly mocked by the media and population alike (to the point where I felt uncomfortable about it)? And now, nothing. What does say about the change in our cultural consciousness?

I can live with the Libs I guess, but I can't for the life of me understand why anyway would express any joy in that woman getting back in because of what it means for our country.

I'm in two minds about independents. I think it does send a message to the majors, but I do think it's dangerous to have people run for government on the back of one passion but not have any clear idea on their other policies.

So, in summary 6/10. I'll live, but do feel a little empty and sad.

I still think it will be hung. It will go down to postals apparently and I suspect Turnbull won't get his majority. I thought the Libs would easily win so for me as a long term Labor voter who voted greens I'm happy. I would like to see a change in leadership for both major parties. I like Shorten, but he's not our man

Just also read The Christian Democrats (Fred Nile) have a Senate seat. Saddens me that people agree with their 'values'.

Fred Nile is a prehistoric, backwater relic who should be muzzled. I am absolutely appalled that he got in. What an absolute disgrace. I retract my earlier comment that I'm OK with the outcome.

I'd love to see PM Penny. She's amazing. I also think Albo or Plibersek would make great leaders. They have some good choices for successors should they go down that path. Libs have got Scott. Great.

    Great Scott.
