    Default House sitting... Anyone done it??

    I'm looking into house sitting (as a sitter) to try have affordable holidays. Has anyone done it before?? Would love advice or feedback. Thanks

    I am literally in the position of looking for a house sitter now since dh's brother doesn't want to do it for us the thought of a stranger scares me.

    Yeah I totally understand... I feel a bit that way myself about heading to a destination to meet the homeowners... I'm hopeful it works well though.

    The bit I'm confused about, do you do it for free? Or charge? For us, we are only going on hols for 6 days but have a cat and dog and everyone else around us has their own responsibilities and can't house sit. Would you be doing it by yourself or with kids?

    From what I've read online it is free but the sitter has to pay an annual rego fee. The sitter is required to look after the home and pets. Some people would take their kids, however I'm looking to do it without them.
