If I'm having longer cycles does that mean I'm likely to ovulate later? Or even not at all?

Definitely later. The follicular phase varies, the luteal stays about the same. So you'll always ovulate about 14 days before your period regardless of cycle length. But it's also possibly you're not ovulating at all, you can usually tell by temping though whether you have ovulated.

In April/May I had 2 really long cycles (used to be super regular) but then had 3 months of regular 28-30 day cycles. then suddenly this last month i started opk testing on day 8 as usual (nothing) but then hot a solid smiley on day 9 suddenly! I got AF yesterday so it was a super short cycle. Any ideas why? I dr googled (i know) and am freaking out about early menopause

I hear you @KT8. I haven't had the long cycles, but the bleeding has been weird and all the pms symptoms (which I never used to have) are making me feel lik it's on the way. I've been told it is a very very gradual thing though. AND you are still fertile til the end! Used to be called 'change of life babies'. I'm hoping for one!

I'm heading to the GP tomorrow to ask for the ovulation blood test and an ovary ultrasound. Feel like I need to rule out PCOS, Endo etc after this crazy cycle!
I'm on CD34, CP, CM and pains point to O on CD29, but I still haven't had a temp spike. And I had 7 days straight of very positive OPKs!
I looked back and I've had three 45+ day cycles including this one in about the last 14 months.
I also get pain in right ovary sometimes when I sneeze, I'm thinking I might have some Endo attaching it to the stomach cavity, but who knows?!
Feeling more and more like DS was just a miracle fluke!

There are so many variables. Hope you get some answers @Rhee80. I'm cd8, bleeding stopped Sunday and now I have weird spotting and very crampy. I had a cyst during pregnancy- but it wasn't a problem, think I need to book a gp visit also. I have a referral for a uterus scan, might do that first

Woo hoo! Temp spike this morning! I think my theory about the long LH surge affecting temp was right, OPK negative this morning, although only just.

Is a temp spike indicative of a possible bfp?!
