    Default TTC Naturally Over 35

Hi all, thought I would start a new thread for those of us TTC over age 35 but not looking at IVF etc. I know TTC can be hard for any age but it can be especially difficult when you throw doubts about 'am I too old?' in as well.
I'm 36, have an almost 2yo and really wanting to give him a sibling. We are on cycle two seriously TTC, I am 9dpo today and got a BFN this morning. Hoping it's still too early but despite having a cold sore (my first clue last time) I still haven't got the tell tale sore breasts so I'm not feeling great about it today.
If it's a no go this month I'm going to visit a naturopath.
Looking forward to sharing stories, support and encouragement

    Default TTC Naturally Over 35

I'll join you here, I'm 36 this month, I already have 6 kids from previous relationship. Struggled to conceive with the last 2 as I wasn't ovulating.! Been ttc number 7 with my partner for 10 cycles now, it will be his first, he is 27 and had mumps a few years back and we are awaiting him to have a semen analysis.

I have a blood test to do on cd 2 to test my egg reserves to see if I have any left. Then I will try clomid for the first time this ttc journey.

I have a 33 day cycle but blood tests showed a couple of months ago that it was likely I have pcos and I wasn't ovulating. However ultrasounds didn't show any cysts.

I am currently cd34, I have an 11/12 day LP, ovulation signs due to cm and cp on cd21 so AF is 2 days late, however I am on metformin so may have pushed my LP out. Bfn on an IC this morning

I have extremely sore breasts, lots of lotiony/watery cm and my cervix is soft high and closed.

I was getting some clear fluid from my breasts when squeezed the other day too.

Have no idea what's going on, if I ovulated at all, just want to know so I can get this blood test and start clomid. Or at least get a BFP.

Egg donation, sperm donors or ivf isn't an option for us.

Edit: I should add too that I've been sick now for about 5 weeks with bronchitis, was prescribed prednisone at around time of ovulation, took one pill and ended up in hives so discontinued.

Hi ladies may I join you here please?! I am 37 (38 in Sept), with a 3yo DS and 1yo DD. We have been trying for 10 cycles now and I had a miscarriage on cycle 9 :'( . I honestly nevee thought it would take this long to get our baby #3. DS was on our first cycle and DD was cycle 8. The longer it takes the harder it is getting.
Sorry to hear of your bfn @rhee1980 @tamzmaree sounds like you've got a lot happening but I hope you get the answers you need and a bfp soon

Thanks for sharing ladies! Wow @tamzmaree you have a lot going on, sending blessings to you that it gets easier and clearer what's going on. @1st timemama sorry to hear of your miscarriage
My son was an accident so I kind of presumed it would be pretty easy the second time if we were actually trying, I think that makes it even harder, especially since I'm the kind of person who is impatient and likes things to happen straight away!
I guess I'm 2.5 years older and a million years tireder now though haha!

I just wanted to post to say it does and will happen, I'm 20 weeks pregnant with no.6 and I'm 40 will be 41 when bubs is born,, I also have a 15 month old and was trying since she was 2 weeks old as I have 4 older children and wanted 5 and 6 close together as they'll be are last. It was about 10-11 months for me to fall and me and hubby had almost given up hope. It was so different having our first 4 as I was in my twenties and the longest it took to fall was 2 months. So best of luck and I'll watch out for those positive tests xx

    Default TTC Naturally Over 35

Hi ladies I am 35 and DH and I have been trying for 6 months to conceive our first. I have been told I have a cyst on my right ovary and the FS seems to think I have endometriosis and am having the cyst removed in October.
We have been so stressed about about TTC that we have opted for IVF this month

Hi girls can I join in ?
We're both 37 (well I will be in 2 months) and have an almost 2 year old.
We conceived first time around really easily. The first month we actually DTD during the right week of the month and bam! Knocked up! Easy smooth sailing first pregnancy. 3 hour labour.
Since then though, I'm a couple of years older, and have put on 20kg. I was already overweight to begin with. Not sure what impact that will have on TTC. Some research says no impact, others say it will.
I hope it works out similarly second time around. At 37, I'm conscious of time ticking. Ugh!

I'll be 35 in a couple of weeks, DP is 38. We started TTC#1 at the start of the year. Partially because tick-tock tick-tock, you know?
Haven't been to the docs, or FS, or anywhere except online... Yet! Wouldn't really know where to start, as I don't have a regular GP that I see. That said, no known issues with either of us at this stage.
Anyways - Hoping we can do this naturally. And soon!!

As above has mentioned it does happen and don't give up. I had 2 older children from a previous marriage, who are now 9 and 11 and I just gave birth to my 3rd healthy bub 4 months ago. We totally weren't expecting her and this is my DP's first baby. I just turned 39.
