Default What blood tests did you have performed to check for clotting issues?

I had a blood test today to check for clotting issues. The form requested coagulation and thrombotic assay. Does anyone know if these tests check for everything?

Hi, I don't think these tests, test for everything. I have Chronic ITP, lupus, antiphospholipid syndrome and have had multiple mini strokes. My Drs test for many different things on my blood test referral. If they are looking at clotting issues, they would need to look at coagulation and thrombotic issues.

My GP actually called me this morning to see how I was going (yes, on a Sunday morning!) and let me know that the tests she ordered will be checking for APS.

That's great having a GP who is so caring. Let me know how you get on. It can be very frustrating waiting for a diagnosis, if there is one. All the best xo

Got my results back on Wednesday and everything is in order. No clotting issues or any other health issues identified.
