Hi ladies, thought I'd let you know what happened.

In the end I had a spinal block as I had been getting over a cold and they wouldn't let me have the GA like orginally planned

    We welcomed a little DS on 11/7, 3.1kg, 51cm .

I'd didn't need the hysterectomy thank goodness but I lost 2 full units of bloods which is way to much. My body went into shock when this happened so wasn't able to have much skin to skin contact.

It was the most unpleasant experience that's for sure and when they opened me up they found that the placenta had started seperating and was dropping clots into my system so we are actually lucky to be here today so bring DS out at 37wks was the right this to do. My OB was amazing so where all my doctors and midwives that where in theatre with us. One of the midwives even changed her roster around for the week so she could stay with us for our entire stay. Bless her

This is when my private health ins paid for itself ten fold.
