I think the replies are going to fall on deaf ears @MilkyMama said she wasn't going to come back to read the naysayers.
For what it's worth a quick Google search of Dr Mercola comes up with criticisms as well as a link to an article stating he'd been ordered to stop making false claims. David 'Avocado' Wolfe is such a quack, he's even apparently a flat earther (seems rational). Miranda Kerr is a model, who is not qualified to advise on health matters.

Also want to add a big thanks to @J37 for sharing your expertise, rest assured it really is appreciated

I also think that @J37 is awesome I read a lot of thing they have written on here and they do not have to give medical options or opinions as that is most likely done in their private time not at work where I'm sure their patients are greatful for their medical expertise aswell.

It saddens me to say, but yes MilkyMama, it is your right to be misinformed and incorrect.

Antibiotics, analgesics, drugs which lower cholesterol and blood pressure, blood-thinners, bronchodilators and steroids, anti-nausea drugs, anti-reflux drugs, antidepressants...well, you get my point. It is my privilege to prescribe such medications to my patients, without any financial benefit to myself whatsoever.

Drugs save lives, increase longevity and quality of life, alleviate pain and discomfort. These are good outcomes. Yes, some drugs have side effects. This is why they must be prescribed by a qualified professional. We didn't just learn bad handwriting at Medical School.

I am motivated by the health and well-being of my patients. I am passionate about medical misinformation. If I can help a member of the BH community, I am always happy to do so.

She won't come back as there are no facts to support it. I believe there is a place for some alternative and natural therapies - but not used in place of the correct medicines.

My FIL is about to start cancer treatment. I am pretty sure he has a better chance of recovery and not dying with the treatment plan an oncologist/neurosurgeon have put in place than some 'quack' (yes I am saying quack) who will 'heal' him with juices, meditation and chamomile tea.

Dr Mercola, David Avacado Wolfe, chef Pete Evans, food babe. Just to name a few making a fortune from giving out medical advice on the Internet. These people are the real dangers in society, not 'big pharma'.
