So over getting home after DD has gone to bed. Leave home at 5:30 am, get home at 7:30 pm and don't get any time with bubba. She's only 13 months old. It's breaking my heart.

Oh I remember you talking about this just before your return to work. I cannot imagine how hard it is. I hope a pathway opens up for you soon that leads to a better balance for you.

In the meantime just remind yourself you are doing this not just for yourself but for your DD too. You are showing her that women are strong enough to do what needs to be done for the family.

    Thank you

I'm trying to stay positive! I'm really enjoying work, just wish I got home earlier... It didn't help that I missed the train home tonight so will be even later.

I think going to try working from home one day a week once I've settled back in. We have all new management so I need to test the waters.

    It's a hard balance, I'm feeling torn 😔

had fast food for lunch which I'm sure hasn't helped and now we are having chicken parmas and wedges for dinner. it's no wonder I feel like a blob really.

    zero motivation to eat well.

I don't know how you have the strength to those hours. You must be exhausted. I'd def be trying to do some work from home days otherwise your going to burn yourself out

Only 3 days thankfully. No way I could do 5. I thought I'd be ok with it, I just miss seeing DD. I work two of those days in a row so pretty much don't see her for 48 hrs straight. Except if she wakes during the night of course 😂

Watching old episodes of Criminal Minds.. Have watched it here and there. Wish I took interest in it when it first started. I actually quite like it.

Being horrible and laughing with tears in my eyes. DH and I are both recovering from colds and he keeps making fun that I'm snoring and has been sleeping in the spare room. I just say well there's no proof I don't believe you
He's snoring so loud I can hear it down the hall with earplugs in so just crept down and recorded him on my phone and will text it to him tomorrow. I'm juvenile but yes I find this very funny as he would never do that to me
