    Yoohoo! Why do you want the last pickup? Just extra time for the littlies to catch up?

    Hi everyone!!
    This is my first post in a while and definitely my first in an IVF chat! I'm so excited and terrified to be here.
    I started my first Menopur injection today and was a little shocked to hear we were planning on egg extraction in 2 weeks! My cycles are usually really long so it shocked me to think i could have eggs ready in that amount of time.
    Bring on the next 2-3 weeks hey ladies!!

    Hi ladies. I'm just about to start my first ivf cycle. I've had all my testing which showed I had pcos and I'm meeting with my fs tomorrow to discuss the cycle and when to start. I've looked on their website and saw that they generally do a long suppression cycle with the first blood test on cd20-23. I'll be cd20 tomorrow so I'll ask the fs if I can start straight away so hoping to have finished the cycle by the end of July

    @mightymama hi!!

    Oh wow, so exciting!! I was in your position just three weeks ago. I did my first injection around 3 June! I'm irregular also so I was very pleased at how quick the process has been. I did my egg extraction (epu) a week ago. I am doing a frozen embryo transfer (FET) though so just got AF again and my transfer will be in 2-3 weeks. If you're doing a fresh transfer then we cold be pretty close together, yay!!
    @bubbles21 hiya! Ooh good luck for your meeting! I'm doing my first cycle too and found out I have pcos. I managed to get a pretty good haul of eggs though!

    I got AF on the way to my first ever appt at my clinic on 31 May which actually worked out pretty amazingly because they gave me an emergency supply of injections to get started on right away on cd3. It's all been very whirlwind!!

    I'm not so familiar with how a long suppression cycle works.. why do they do it that way?

    I hope you can get cracking straight away!!

    I am doing my third and final IVF cycle but doing a long cycle this time. I have no idea what the long cycle involves as yet so the unknown is a bit scary. It's a bit scary I think I will be injecting for 4 weeks instead of 2..

    @mightymama my cycles are short 23-26 and I inject for about 17/18 days so don't stress if it's a little longer. How did your first injection go? By the end of the 2 weeks you'll be a pro. Good luck xx
    @bubbles21 - my FS started me 2 days after our appointment so hopefully he will start you straight away. IVF there's always soooo much waiting so for you to be able to go straight away xx

    Thanks for the tips! @laugo & @SurferGalGC I've got such a great support network, not that I've told a lot of people what we're doing, I'm not sure why, but I just haven't.
    It helps a lot knowing you all have been there or are doing it at the same time.
    Best of luck all!
