Wow, working on a Sat?!?! I hope you get some good time off to get the rest you need hun!

Funny you should ask @onedaymaybebaby! Of all things on my shopping list, I just checked off those today! I bought 3 flannelette and 3 muslins wraps today from Kmart, all 100% cotton (we were there for something else, but I thought I would pick them up anyway). I am renting too, but am lucky to have reverse cycle air in our main bedroom where we are going to place the bassinet for the first few months. That said, I am on the top floor and it's scorching hot in summer, so am not looking forward.

I think I am going to go for lightweight materials but might get 1 or 2 grosuits and 1 blanket that's a little warmer just in case. I read that babies tend to be overheated than not because parents tend to bundle them up. I will be buying singlets and short sleeved onesies mainly for start with and will see how we go.

Thanks @VickyP! Yep I work alternate Saturday's but get a weekday off in lieu so it's not so bad! When are you all finishing up work? If all goes to plan I'll work up until 36 weeks. So 23rd Dec will be my last day

Are you officially shopping yet now that you're back from holiday?

Default Primary IVF Graduates - Beyond and Besides the BFP

That's good @onedaymaybebaby! Get a good rest too!

I'm not sure yet when I'll finish up. My contract finishes end of this month (28w) and it's got an extension clause so not sure whether my employer will extend me beyond this month. I'm hoping to keep active for as long as I can. I'm studying too and have picked to do 2 subjects instead of the usual 1 just to speed things up, so thankfully that will be plenty to keep me occupied as well until week 34. So I'm going to take things as they come.

I think your plan with the timing is perfect! What a way to spend Xmas and then get ready for bub's arrival early next year! Brilliant! 🏻🏻

Yes, officially shopping and will start checking off my list within the next few weeks!

Hi all! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a very recent Primary IVF graduate - only 5 weeks today so got my BFP just over a week ago. This is my first pregnancy and I've been having a lot of stabbing pains in my uterus over the past few days, in different areas. I was wondering whether anyone else experienced this with an IVF pregnancy? I called the clinic and they said not to worry unless it was excruciating or if I'm bleeding (no to both). But I'm really worried as surely these stabbing pains can't be good?! Thanks for your advice in advance!

@Emmy85 welcome lovely! I remember feeling stabbing pains and cramping at around 5 weeks too and I think it's just your uterus and stretching there's lots of changes happening down there. And congrats on your BFP! Xx

Thank you @ABG79 , and congratulations on your pregnancy! What a gorgeous scan photo in your profile pic.

I'm hoping it's just normal stretching pains but I'm driving myself crazy with worry... Ah well, only time will tell!

I'm 20 weeks today, and I'm laying on the lounge on my back. I started to feel our Bub moving around so I lifted up my Tshirt to see if we could actually see anything, not very hopeful as I haven't felt anything on the outside yet (anterior placenta) but both hubby and I saw him move, twice! Ofcourse when I tried to start filming it he stopped moving! So excited!!

Welcome @Emmy85 so great to have another grad in here woohoo

I too had stabbing/cramping pains at the start, so like @ABG79 said its probably just all the stretching, crinone effects etc! But it's always good to check!

Aaaahhh @ABG79 well done on the movement front! That's so exciting! Haha typical that he stopped when the camera came out...cheeky bubs

The ultrasound pics are getting so much clearer they are amazing. I'm getting mine done at ultrasound care the girls are lovely . I still have really achy feet and hands even when I just wake up I guess it could be fluid retention or just stretching hopefully it goes soon I'm only 13 and half weeks surely it won't stay now to birth well hope not Hahaha . I am showing now though my bump is high I feel like I still look bloated 😂😂😂Welcome and congratulations @Emmy85
