Hugs @ABG79! Sorry to hear about the extra worries you are going through. It's just one big worry fest isn't it?

As @onedaymaybebaby and @tjuls mentioned, it's probably nothing too big a deal but good that you can check it out at the scan at least. Seeing bub will be reassuring for sure. Spotting and in fact bleeding seems pretty common for IVF ladies. I'm sure it's all fine.

Do let us know how your scan goes! Can't wait to hear about bub's updates.

One more sleep and it's your turn @onedaymaybebaby! I ❤️ that 20w scan!

Afm, yeah, I think I need a holiday from my holiday now. Oops. had my regular OB appt on Monday and nothing new to report on. Just got told puffy ankles is common and to try to elevate feet when sleeping or sitting.

Got a referral for glucose test that's just before the next 28w appt.

Does anyone know why the glucose test takes 2-3 hours? It's there on the instructions and I have yet to google what happens to make it that long!

Hey @VickyP sounds like you are doing the glucose tolerance test. It takes so long as they give you a baseline blood test first, get you to drink the glucose drink then take blood tests at 1 and 2 hrs afterwards to measure your blood glucose levels against the normal range, basically seeing if your body is doing what it's meant to do or if you're at risk/have gestational diabetes. I believe you just have to sit there, minimal moving around in between bloods so as not to affect the results

Thanks @onedaymaybebaby. The instructions from my OB said "bring amusements as the wait is boring". Haha. Thanks for the heads up.

Default Primary IVF Graduates - Beyond and Besides the BFP

    Hi ladies
Scan went well. Placenta isn't low lying and cervix is closed. She didn't know why I was having light spotting. I didn't have any today until after the scan.
He's growing beautifully and it's all looking good. So I'm not going to give it any more thought, and no more worrying. Thanks for checking up me ladies xx
Goodluck with your scan tomorrow @onedaymaybebaby

Aaaahhh no, bladder discomfort is the worst naturally let alone a probe pushing down through your belly lol! Even at the 12 week scan I felt quite uncomfortable! Fingers crossed I don't pee myself lol! I will definitely let you know! It isn't till the afternoon so it will be a loooooong day haha

They were running 20 minutes late for my appointment so I had to go to the toilet and then drink more water but the prodding down was so uncomfortable. I've been peeing all afternoon/night think I've drank way too much water this afternoon!

Yay! Such good news @ABG79! Glad to know that bubba is growing comfortably in there!

I remember drinking a bottle and a half of water before going but not as much as needing to pee. I think you don't need a full bladder. It's just to help with the scan but bub is now quite large too so it's probably easier to scan than before. Or maybe I was just so engrossed in watching him that going to the loo was an afterthought. Haha!

Good luck with yours @onedaymaybebaby! Can't wait for updates!
