    Thanks for sharing @MissTilly!

It's amazing just reading your experience! Can't imagine what it'll feel like! Must be the most beautiful feeling in the world. Your baby girl sounds so cute. I hope my boy will be active too! Can't wait to get to week 16/17 now just to get some reassurance!

Default Primary IVF Graduates - Beyond and Besides the BFP

Hi ladies! I'm so excited to be included in this thread! We had our viability scan on Wednesday and it's now starting to feel very real! I don't have any pregnancy symptoms so i was feeling really doubtful our baby wasnt growing and was so afraid nothing would come up on the scan and there would be no heartbeat. But there was, heart beat was 126, and to see that on the screen was incredible, everytime I see think about it I get so teary. I'm so glad to be sharing this with you ladies. Baby is due 31st Jan, currently 7+5 weeks pregnant. Thanks for adding me to this group @VickyP xx

@OneOfTheseDays after beta I was told I can stop taking crinone.. However i still had 21 left so I kept using them, once daily, as I was worried about stopping using them. @MissTilly I loved reading your post! I would be exactly the same, not sleeping from excitement and also worrying when there was no movement! The worrying will never stop, it's all part of parenthood I believe. Xx

@MissTilly the insomnia has kicked in for me already and I'm only 8+1! It's so bizzare as normally I'm out like a light and don't wake up until the morning. Since being pregnant most nights I wake at around 3am and can't sleep for a good 2 hrs! I'm looking at it as good practice for when baby arrives...all those sleepless nights

Well I didn't end up falling back to sleep so that'll be another good excuse for an early night tonight! We got a new king bed which just so happened to coincide with our 12 week mark and it's been the best investment! Like, I really love that bed 🙊 another good excuse to snuggle in and wait for the movement! 😜
@ABG79 ~ how exciting!!! That's a great heart rate! It's just amazing hearing that little baboom baboom ~ our 12 week scan was unreal too, she was flipping about, hubby was amazed just how 'baby-like' it looked already! Even though so tiny! Then our 20 week scan which we actually had at 19 weeks was even better because it lasted for like 45 mins while they took all the measurements. I just want to remember every little moment! Like hubby was building the cot on Wednesday night, it came all flat packed that day and he was so excited to set it up, I had to keep mentally pinching myself that this was actually happening! Such an awesome visual!!! Coming up to 23 weeks this Sunday! And my sister is bringing my pram & car seat home at the start of next month from baby bunting! It's all starting to come together! Have you guys started thinking about what brand/types of things you'll get? I bought our pram when we were only 13 weeks because it was a bargain ~ baby jogger city elite for $750! But then found it so hard deciding on a cot! Ended up getting a Mocka Amalfi cot which was really cost effective too and looks beautiful in the nursery!

Not sure if @Danymatthew is still floating about in bubhub land but she's due in August I think! Another primary IVF graduate! 👍🏻🎉

Hi ladies!! @MissTilly nice to hear from you and read positive experiences with IVF! It really looks like ages since I was writing on the IVF forum...
Anyway, you're right! I'm due 22 August with a baby girl and going through week 30 of a really wonderful pregnancy. I've been enjoying every moment and every little (and strong!!) movement in there. I've been lucky enough not to have any issue, nausea, back pain..just this week I've started to slow down as I feel my belly so much heavier and my legs too if I walk a lot.
What I found really helpful was yoga. I've started after the 1st trimester and keep going 3/4 times a week. It brings so much relieve to the back, joints and helps stay relaxed. Good practice for your breathing techniques thinking about labour!
I wish you all the best with your pregnancy and beyond!

Yay, welcome to this thread @ABG79!

How awesome is that HB? I totally know what you mean. I was so so worried and anxious before my scans and it was such a relief to see it all on the screen, especially with baby's HB!

I am so excited for you @MissTilly - I can't wait to get to my 20w scan. Think I will need to start a scrapbook to collect all the bits and pieces.

Yes, I have started making a list of what I want to buy and the brands I prefer, based on reviews, costs, etc. We won't be doing much for the nursery because we are renting right now - both of us work in the city, and our house in the Southern Highlands is just too far at the moment! So we are going for minimalist until we are ready to move.

Your Jogger City is a bargain! I can't decide whether to get car seat + stroller or a travel system, but I am going to leave the "wheels problem" to the dad to decide (for him, it's like buying a car. for me, whatever works and doesn't cost the sky).

Haven't decided on cot but might go for the cheap Ikea version - I like the white wash - goes with everything in my house and very affordable. Saving money on other big ticket items like bringing baby back to Thailand to see my in-laws. LOL.

Oh, btw, @MissTilly, are you planning to get a breast pump (I think I will for a couple of reasons) - Spectra which is my preferred brand, is having a 20% birthday sale until 29 June. But I won't be buying so soon since I still have 6 months to go!

Thanks for checking in with us @Danymatthew!

It's so amazing - it must feel very near now, I can't wait to get to the finishing line! Am glad that you have had a smooth pregnancy, now you have me thinking of yoga too! Might check it out and see if there's one near me that supports pregnancy.

@MissTilly looking forward to those scans and seeing our baby! It's absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing all the details, so exciting! Watching it on the screen when it's so baby like will be incredible. Wish you could get a video copy - I'd watch it all the time. Hubby used his phone to video our scan on Wednesday and I've watched it about 100x!!

I haven't decided about pram, cot or anything really.. I'm still coming to terms that I'm pregnant and still being really cautious. Haven't bought anything baby related yet except for a baby names book and another pregnancy book.. There are so many options it's overwhelming, but once we're past 12 weeks will start looking. We are only renting and in a very small place so will hold off on the big items as long as we can or until we move as we don't have the space!

Are you ladies going public or private? We are going public and doing shared care between our GP (who specialises in women health and pregnancy) and the midwives at the hospital. Just wondering if we should have gone private and booked in with and Obstetrician. It's probably too late now anyway as I think you need to book in quite early with them. My friends have gone public and been thrilled with the experience and the lovely relationships they built with the midwives. Can anyone share their experience with their obstetrician?

    Xx

Yay!!! Great to hear from you @Danymatthew!! My pregnancy has been much the same! Very smooth sailing with no 'oh crap' moments which I'm so thankful for.
@VickyP, yep ~ I'm hoping to express too because hubby really wants to help out with some of the night & early morning feeds so we've just got a manual Avent pump so I'll see how that goes but I've heard awesome things about the spectra and medela electric pumps too so depending on how I go with the manual one I might end up upgrading. I love white furniture (especially the white wash) too, the ikea cots look great! God I love ikea... Just not the distance between me and closest one ~ 7 hours! 😂 can't wait until they start online shopping! My poor poor credit card....
