@onedaymaybebaby thanks for the link to the brochure, lots of great info. Understand it all now. I'm mostly excited about seeing our baby and finding out the sex

Hi I don't go through Primary IVF but I am on the NK protocol and am currently 6 weeks. I also am a long term IVF warrior and have been doing this for the last 10 years.

I just wanted to let @onedaymaybebaby know about what my FS does in regards to medication for NK because I know I would be lost without this knowledge. I tried to upload a photo previously but it has not worked so I am writing it all out for you...if this is not allowed then the Mods are welcome to delete as I am not a DR just sharing what was given to me so of course ask your nurse or Dr before continuing or stoping any meds!!

Progesterone Pessaries Continue until the end of 13 weeks, then stop.
Progynova Continue until you reach the end of 13 weeks, then stop.
Estradot Patches Cease at end of 13 weeks
Dexamethasone Take 2 tablets in the morning (daily)
    Continue until 13 Weeks
Then reduce to 1 tablet a day for 1 week until the end of 13 weeks
Then reduce to 1 tablet every second day for 1 week, then stop

Clexane injections Continue until the end of 13 weeks, then stop
    Administered subcutaneously daily

Baby Aspirin (astrix) Continue until the end of 34 weeks, then stop
    Take one tablet daily
This is obtained over the counter at the pharmacy - no script

Intralipid infusion Within 72 hours of confirmed pregnancy
    Then 6,8,10,12 and 14 weeks

I have copied this exactly as it was given to me I am not on all these medications so I presume they give out a general one for everyone. I wish you all the best of luck and am sorry to hijack your thread - just wanting to help out. I hope I haven't crossed any lines.... Best of luck ladies.

Oh, that's so nice of you to share your knowledge @Nonstophope!

    Thanks gals for the support.

I gave the doppler another go this morning (of course I couldn't get over the fact that it didn't work last night) and I think I found the heartbeat - it was hovering at about 165. I just hope I found the right sound! But honestly, I have put it away for now and having had a go at it, I think it's more stressful than not! So I would still say stay away - it's not worth the extra stress and second guessing. I think I would rather be ignorant and not know until my OB visits.

Woooooooo... Team girl huh @onedaymaybebaby?! When are you results back? Why are they seemingly taking forever???? (PS: can you tell I am anxious to know?)

And then we can wait for "action" from @ABG79 - woohoo!

Tmbi @VickyP this week seems to be dragging!! They say 7-10 days for results to cover themselves but the ladies whispered to me "we usually get the in 5-7 days" so I'm hoping I'll hear back by Tuesday!! How long did your results take?

Not sure why I'm swing more towards girl....I think seeing that little baldy head on the 3D shot just screams girl to me lol I have no idea why! Kinda reminds me of my sisters babies who were girls! Silly thought process but can't wait to find out

Default Primary IVF Graduates - Beyond and Besides the BFP

Lol @onedaymaybebaby! Not a bad guess - mummy's instincts! I think I got my results in about 6 days. I tried so hard to be busy and distracted that week. Haha!

Oh, realised I forgot to answer your question @OneOfTheseDays. I hired the doppler from a website called Sweet Beats. Can't fault the customer service. Flawless all the way. I am just not liking the way the Doppler is adding stress for me. We gave it another go this morning because DH came back from work trip and wanted to play with it and bub was being stubborn again. DH gave up before I found him snuggled up with a lower HB. Maybe he was napping. Hah. But nah, I think being ignorant is good - served me well since the start of IVF. Ignorance is bliss for me!

@Nonstophope - thank you thank you thank you! That is totally awesome of you to post that. The great thing is it confirms what I was planning on doing based on my google research, but it's definitely reassuring knowing that's the information a clinic hands out. It especially helps as I saw my GP yesterday, and she had NFI about NK cells and protocols. She has referred me to a specialist who is an OB and does IVF, but again, doesn't know if he knows/agrees with NK cell treatment.
Once again, so grateful to have the collective knowledge and support from all of you lovely ladies!
Will post more personals later - on my mobile typing whilst trying to stuff down nachos after a trip to Ikea

Good morning ladies? How is everyone's weekend going?

So glad you finally found that pesky heartbeat @VickyP. I can imagine how tempting it would be to constantly be trying to find it if I had the doppler there!

Hope your test results come through sooner rather than later @onedaymaybebaby. Must be so exciting to know you are going to find out the sex of bubs. I had a quick research and they can't definitively say with twins what the sexes are from the harmony test as they don't know which baby the chromosomes are from. So the only information we could get is if they are both girls as there would be no Y chromosomes. Of course, the main benefit of the test is to check for abnormalities, so hubby and I will need to have the discussion on weather we want to do the harmony or the NT (or both). So much to think about!

Not much to report here.....except I think I'm finally starting to get the 'pregnancy sickness' I've been grateful not to have until now I've always felt a bit 'off' in the evenings, but the last couple of nights have definitely been worse. I think I need to make sure I eat more often as I tend to get hungry, then quickly REALLY hungry, then I feel sick and can't eat. Still, it's definitely not that bad, so I'm not complaining. It was actually reassuring to say to hubby last night that I finally 'feel' pregnant

Anyway, I hope everyone is well and will be enjoying their Sunday!

I'm so excited @OneOfTheseDays! Hopefully only a couple of days to go!! That's interesting re the chromosomes for twins! Makes sense!! Sorry the sickness has hit you, I know what you mean when hunger turns to sickness! Normally if I eat I come right but lately I've found it hard to decipher between hunger sickness and just plain feeling the sickness lol! This morning I thought I should probably eat something and I've been sitting here ever since feeling like I'm about to be sick any moment it normally comes up in the shower if it's going to...needless to say I haven't showered yet today lol!!

Hope everyone is having s good weekend, we have family coming over so I better get my A into G and get ready!!!
