Default Hydrocele - has anyone's little boy had surgery for this?

Looks like my 3.5 year old will need surgery for a hydrocele... can anyone tell me what is involved with the op and recovery etc? thanks.

No help sorry but I am curious about the answer. My DS has a hydrocele but he's only five weeks old so I have no idea if it will be an issue.

My ds had a hydrocele and undescended testi operated on at 8mths. His surgery was slightly different as the main reason for it was the undescended side but nonetheless it was keyhole surgery and he was back to his usual self pretty quick. Sorry I can't be too specific with just the hydrocele side of things
