Margery is now on Game of Thrones so I reckon it'll be up for a revival. I know what you mean though!

Default Do you think there are names that will never make a comeback?

    Jacqueline
Ivy (which has made a comeback)
    Sandra
Estelle (which I love, DF doesn't.)
    Elaine

Some of the boys names I just can't see really coming back:

    Frank
    Colin
    Garry
    Darren
    Ralph
    Norman

Girls names are harder. There's been so many I thought would never come back, and then they do! My mum's name is Robyn and we'll be using that as a middle name for our girl. I don't think that name will be making much of a comeback, obviously we're using it for honorary purposes, although I don't mind it as a name anyway.
If we were having a boy, DH wanted to use his dad's name as the middle name - Colin. Not a fan. Glad we're having a girl now. Lol.
Frank is ok...as Frankie. can't see anyone really being called Frank (it's my dh's middle name though lol)

    Estelle is pretty daggy
I went to school with an Anella. vile lol

I personally know 2 girls named Dorothy. Both are 2 years old. Blew me away both times when I heard the name the parents had chosen. Funny thing is they were born about 2 months apart. I thought after the first Dorothy that I'd never hear it again, but i was wrong.

ETA: Both get called Dorothy, neither has been shortened to Dot or Dottie. I think Dottie is rather cute.

    How about Doris?

I worked with a woman who was only a little older than me and her bestie was called Doris. Whenever she spoke of Doris I would picture an old lady in my head! It's not a youthful-sounding name.

Gladys is another one I can't see becoming popular again.
