Insectivore! My sister ( vegan) has low b12 so is looking into insects ( gross) I told her to just eat some octopus or mussels ( I'm pescatarian) but she thinks she would prefer to eat bugs

Hmm crunchy bugs vs slimy seafood, I've never eaten either so I'm not sure which is worse ...I think I'd possibly go with the bugs too, depending on what kind of bug it was. And how many you'd have to eat.

Sorry for the tangent @MilkyMama, welcome!

I used to call myself pescatarian too, but everyone (or those who don't know basic Latin, perhaps) was like "WHAAAT?!" so I changed the term to something I read somewhere... Exactly same thing anyway 😊
Yeah, I'm not really hierarchical or anything about it, I just believe everybody knows what their own body needs and everyone is really so different! But I've been this way pretty much my whole life - I'll never give up seafood or eggs, but I don't eat much dairy.
In regards to the insects tho - eeeek!! She could incorporate some Brewer's yeast into her diet for B12; eat lots of probiotics - fermented foods (my personal fave) OR, as the vegan legend David Wolf suggests - just eat unwashed organic produce!! Apparently the little tiny bugs that remain on the veg give him all the vitamin B12 he needs... πŸ˜•

I know someone who describes herself as vegaquarium. Makes me laugh! Interesting to see there's quite a few of us pescatarians around.
