    Default Beginner sewing patterns?

Hi everyone, I am getting sewing lessons, they have said to bring a patterns and material that I want to see. She will teach me how to read cut pattern out.
I'm stuck in what I want to make - I can do simple stuff like pillow cushions etc so I have decided I want to make some type of clothing for my girls who are 8.

Can you throw some ideas at me
    Thanks 💕

Boxer shorts.... Always a good starter.... U could do pretty or cartoon ones for bed, or long flannies, tops are harder but bottoms are a good starter for patterns, u could buy plain cotton t to go with....

Hiya! Sewing clothes for your kids is so much fun. Go to spotlight and spend some time looking at patterns. Chose a brand that has a few patterns that appeal to you. The patterns all have a rating- beginner, intermediate, advanced etc. you should find really easy girls skirts or dresses. Chose a beginner one to take along. That way your teacher will be showing you how to read and interpret patterns that you will likely use again and you will be able to transfer what you learn to heaps of clothes for your girls.
Good luck and have fun! X

Check out tadah patterns online. The seaside dress is so easy & the instructions in her patterns have pictures and are so easy to understand. There is a FB group for tadah patterns you can ask for help on (fresh pattern party) plus you can print them at home, so don't even need to leave the house!

My favourites for girls clothes are pattern emporium. The honeybuns shorts are so easy and such a beautiful fit, and the playtime pinny is beautiful and an easy sew too (but does require button holes - but I promise once you practice they're easy!). The instructions are super easy to follow.
