    Default How many days kindy?

Just working out budget, how many days do they need to go? Or how many days is it best for them to go?

Depends on your centre I believe ours in minimum 2 days. DS1 goes 3 days, he is doing kindy twice due to his age/birthdate (qld). I think a minimum of 3 days helps prepare for school etc. My DS1 would like to go more but we stick to 3 days for cost etc.

It depends which state you are in. In SA, preschool is largely government funded & you usually pay a flat fee per term/ year, of appx $400/year (but this does vary). This entitles you to 15 hours a week, which depends on the preschool how they manage those hours - usually 2 full days 9-3 & one morning 9-12 or something similar.

We are in qld. My daughters Kindy program is at a daycare centre and the minimum number of days per week is two. Another mother I have spoken to uses a community Kindy and it was five days a fortnight.

I'm In Vic. I use a dedicated kinder (as opposed too an integrated one at a childcare/long day care centre).

We get 15hrs funded per year by the gov for 4uo kinder, the year before school. With a gov. Concession card it's free....without there's fees of around $1100/year.

    **edited to add:

**at our kinder** They can go in
    grp 1 - 2x 7.5hr days
    Grp 2 - 2 x 6hr days & 1x 3hr day.

I have heard of others being 3 x 5hr days too. It varies between services

My DS went 2 days a week 9-3 then it changed to 2.5 days a week, so every second Friday was added. Now I'm having no 2 and the structure is 830-4 2 days a week but it'll change again when I actually need it
