Default Elective CSection OB Gold Coast

Hi mummies and mummies to be
I am looking for some advice/ recommendations. I have just moved to the Gold Coast and have
no connections here. I am pregnant with my 2nd child and I am wanting an elective csection due to my first resulting in an emergency csection. I actually had a wonderful recovery and felt great strangely enough after my first.
Can anyone recommend which hospital: John Flynn, Pindara or GC?? I'm also looking for an OBGYN who will perform an elective csection. I will be a private patient.
    Thank you

Hi @ajay15 congrats on your 2nd pregnancy! I have had 4 babies on the GC, 3 were elective c/s at Pindara hospital. I can't recommend Dr Alwyn Dunn enough. He is very particular with his incisions and closing up, mine is barely visible. He also does a spinal block in the incision that many OB's don't do, meaning the pain isn't too bad. I was up and walking after 2 hours and discharged after 1-2 days. He is also one of the low cost ones, his gap was well under $1000 whereas others are over $2000.

Gary swift at Pindara, did mine, looks great, great hosp. My hubby is an ob, chose Gary for me, other ob friends said they'd let Gary do Thier Cs. Otherwise Nelson Gonzalez does electives Cs at new gch, his consults are currently at sunnybank though, so depends on where u live. His apt times are more flexible though, there's not much choice w Gary.
