    So as it turns out, it was at the end of the hose where it connected to the tap. Full of funk, according to df. Eww.

    We're on tank water and if the tank runs dry we have to remember to run the tap in the bath for a while to flush everything out before using the washing machine.

    Filter needs cleaning on the inlet pipe. My parents on tank water and have the same machine.
