    Default Things you do..

What are some things (hobbies etc) you do that's just for you? No kids... No hubby...

I do card making every fortnight.
Volunteer in an opshop once a month or every second week (depending how short staffed they are)
Once a week I play Bingo with my mother-inlaw and sometimes her mum and friend.
I'm also looking into doing a few short courses coming up too at night..

    What about you?

I crochet but mostly make stuff for my kids so not sure if it counts.

I also do volunteer work but the main ones are managing school canteen, p&c, preschool committee and youth centre. All kid based too.

I have recently become a member of the SES and shortly lodging my application for volunteer ambulance officer (just waiting on a handful of things to come back). So they are more for me.

As of next year I'm hoping to do some study (health care).

Not much. Have just started 1/2 hour exercise every day - ask hubby to take care of the kids during that time so I can be alone. Love to read every night, enjoy going to the library, and just chatting/reading online, keeping a diary etc.

gosh not much, I feel like I should do more.

I have an interest in investing so I watch the market (asx) carefully.

umm my latest home project is making closet rod dividers for my ds' closet and eventually mine.

I love cooking and baking but find I rarely have the time these days.

bub hub takes up most of my spare time

Currently nothing, but I'm going to set up the sewing machine that my mum bought me and get into that at some point. I also want to get back into horse riding if possible. We moved to the country and the farm two doors down has horses and I believe they do riding. DP plays cricket and I sort of resent that he goes off and does that every weekend during summer and I have nothing.

I go to the gym 5 days a week. It's time for me and good for my physical and mental health all in one.

    I also like online gaming.

Bub Hub, ha ha! And other online activities.

I bake, I love doing my shellac nails, I read.

I don't really have many friends (read: any friends) in our new home town so I don't do much social stuff.

I like to wander through the shops and see what's happening. I go to the monthly farmer's market.

That's about it I think. TBH by the time the housework is done, I've sorted out all DH's stuff, and I've worked my PT job, there is not much time left...

I don't know how people with kids do it, lol.

I crochet on a night when kids are in bed. I sew when I can get cheap fabric but at the moment I don't have a sewing room as the nursery is it so I get annoyed getting the sewing machine out and packing it away again all the time.

I've just started going late night shopping once a week/fortnight. Put the kids to bed at 7 then get to the shops by about 7.45 and have just over an hour of me time. I wish I lived closer to some shops but an hour is better than nothing!!

I ferment! Kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi and pickles so far - much healthier than my last hobby, which was baking mini cheesecakes 😆Oh and my kiddies LOVE my ferments, so they never really get sick ❤️
