@Bongley I hope Manchego or Killian or Fionn or Alexander is going well? xx
Rhino I think it gets to a tipping point and each BFN got harder and harder for me. I think I could have done one more OE cycle, (especially as it had worked for me in the past) but the lure of a 'sure thing' (which of course it isn't!) eventually pulled me over to the DE route and @Tahli I totally, totally understand where you are coming from, my son's age was a factor in doing DE sooner than later, he will be nearly 4 when this little guy arrives in sept.
I don't regret not trying once or twice more with my OE but there is a little voice wondering if we would have been successful or not. I expect that will go completely when my little guy is born and we all bond with him. I certainly felt like I'd given it a red hot go at 7 cycles. Then again, I was at a cheap clinic where each cycle wasn't breaking the bank........
@Bongley The New Kid sounds brilliant! I love it!!
I thought you'd get it. All last year while I was doing mostly back to back cycles DS was 4 and that was a totally different kettle of fish. Now I have this 'bigger boy' who is growing in independence by the day and I love how impulsive we can be with our lives now.
Anyway I won't take up anymore thread space on me trying to figure out what to do next. There's POAS action going on!!
PS: I've just caught DS excitedly stuffing real life Puppy into his toy microwave!!
Right Luv....Here's a shameless copy and paste r.e Provera:
Most women who take Provera get their periods within a few days of stopping the pill (it's taken every day for five to 10 days, depending on your doctor's preferences). It's not unusual, though, to begin bleeding before you finish the course of pills or not until two weeks after you finished the pills
I've never taken it myself but by the looks of that it should be any time now!!!
Maxwellsmum that sucks. I used provera a fair bit as my cycles have been awol for a while. As BIB says it must be any day day now....... but up to two weeks after stopping taking it, geeze what a pain in the butt.
You'll want to a fresh box of FRER's to POAS with when you get your BFFP Luv believe me!!!
Just quickly doing a bit more reading on other forums r.e Provera and some of the other girls from o/seas were saying (in the event that the first course of Provera failed to bring on AF) that their FS's were checking their E2 levels, testosterones and a scan to check lining. Then they were doing a Cycle where they took Progynova for 25 - 28 days and for the last 10 days of the Cycle adding in Provera to bring on AF which seemed to work.
Anyhoo..I thought it was interesting but it's a moot point for you because AF will turn up in the next couple of days I'm sure
Totally understand where you're coming from @Tahli. I love my Bub but man it's hard work! Any chance of a romance on the horizon? A new man who wants to be a Dad would make the work load a lot easier.
