hope your appt went well @Blossom74. @tuxcat do you know if that $20 is for the 6eggs only or including icsi/ivf + transfer.

It's criminal isn't it, I think the clinics then add on about $5000 for their bit!
The only up side is that you can choose your donor and you get a lot more info than if you were to head overseas.
I know it's only early days but I'm not feeling at all confident about getting a BFP so have been madly researching other options. Basically for the cost of 6 frozen eggs from the world bank you could do two fresh DE cycles in Greece or South Africa.

    Hi all

So my Skype appointment went well. We are going through Monash GC and our FS is Dr Kee Ong, so I think we are in good hands. We ended up going there because my donor usually cycles with Kee, and as she has met her family limit in NSW we had to move clinics anyway, so GC it is!

Re: The World Egg Bank, yep, that $20K is for the eggs only - not cycle costs. You are guaranteed a certain number of eggs (7 from memory) and there is a guaranteed thaw rate of 4, so potentially you might only get 4 eggs from your $20K. Then you have to consider fertilisation rates, because if they don't fertilise I don't think they cover that risk. Makes overseas and local donors a much more attractive option in my opinion....

Hi @Tahli not really. There hasn't been much movement as I need to get some blood test results in to them and my nurse here was not willing to do much until payment was received. That's all done now so I'm hoping she sends everything over during this week. I asked about the donors stim doses and got a response I kind of expected but all good. I'm a little concerned as my nurse in ct just left and now I have a new lady who I hope can respond to me in a timely manner however I've herd she's only 2 or 3 days a week. I have to ask about minimum lining for transfer too.
