@MissDa Do you mean 12 follicles were seen on the last scan but only 5 eggs were collected? Either way, I'm sorry it wasn't a better result. Fingers crossed they're amazing quality and you get 5 out of 5 fertilise.

I've started the process of applying to release super to do a de cycle in sa. I've got my FS supporting me with all the immune treatment he can sling at me and I'm aiming to go there in late August. I'm scared as hell and still grieving the loss of my own eggs but I have hope again and I feel like I can see a future again. Thank you to everyone on this thread that makes all of this feel normal and like the right choice for me. I appreciate you all so much xox

    Yippee!!!!

August isn't that far away Luv!!! I can only imagine how devastating it must be to have to let go and grieve the loss of using your OE's to create a family with Luv

At the same time, I'm excited for you to know you have hope again now that you've decided to go down the DE path Can't wait for August to arrive and for you to board BFFP Airlines so you can go and collect the kids!!!

I see you're already on the Roll Call Luv!!!

@MissDa so sorry it wasn't more, I really know how disappointing that is . My donor had 30+ follicles at her scan, really ripe big ones too and we only got 5 eggs. I used to get 8 to 10 with my own egg cycles (from about 18 follicles) so I was quite devastated although I tried not to show it. So was my donor, which I feel terrible about now. Anyway, we got 4 PGD tested normal embryos from that cycle so fingers crossed yours are top quality. What a tense week this is going to be with those phone call updates arghh!
@Caesardust I'm sorry you are grieving your eggs, (I was just yesterday again actually...just a little) but really glad that you are with us here for your next step. I agree, it is a great comfort for it to be in the company of so many that have gone through it or are going along with you.

Selenium is supposed to be quite good for implantation... Since I've been taking it I've gone from BFN to chem pregnancies, so it's helped my implantation at least.
