Apologies for my absence - I got sent away on business for work with little notice and only just got back! Feel bl00dy knackered now as I've not been well (more to come on that) and frankly am considering crawling into bed for an hour until hubby comes home from work.
I did want to say congratulations to @tuxcat on meeting your donor, it sounds like you all get along like a house on fire so that's fab news!
Also to @faithandhopellove, Eryn is just gorgeous
AFM, a bit of a saga On Friday evening I had a short stabbing pain on my lower right side. It wasn't crippling but it was bad enough to send myself to bed with a hot wheat pack. All weekend thereafter I had terrible back pain, and a crampy 'full' feeling in my lower belly.
Went to Work early Monday morning (up at 4am), worked the day, then stayed the night at Mum and Dad's place. I was so tired I went to bed at 8pm!
So today, I decided to drop in to the walk-in clinic half way between work and home. I did a urine sample and the Doc turned to me and said "How long have you been feeling unwell?" I told her about Friday evening, and mentioned that "TBH I've not been feeling well for a couple of weeks" but just wrote it off as being due to the weather and a hectic life, lol.
No. What we have here is what the Doctor referred to as "Quite a severe bladder infection." Antibiotics four times a day, lots of fluid, lots of rest. No wonder I've been feeling off! She asked if I had pain on urination (No) and said that's quite unusual considering how bad my results were. So tomorrow is an enforced day off for me - tv, and resting on the couch.
Other than that, no news.
To be fair though Wazza is heavy handed with his doses of everything . I am on the same @Apples1234 I am with Wazza I was in a monthly thread with you last year but I don't go on them anymore I am on the same protocols as other wazza patients but add in gonal f and letrozil this cycle.Even my gonal F doses are 300 i/u a day. I was on less for a stim cycle with Monash and Genea.
@Blossom74 I thought you were about to announce a surprise pregnancy then I read UTI and was like boooo you are just like me I get them too, I actually know what they are now I have had a few of them. You poor thing they hurt x
I have been AWOL too I was going to post last night but then my DH was like "why are you on bub hub" all you will be reading is " I am pregnant" "I have had another baby" blah blah blah he said other things but I won't repeat them as they may cause offence anyway he told me to get off it... so I did. He is quite up front about things and he sees things differently to me, the one or two times he has looked at bub hub he gets a bit put of by it. He doesn't see it as a good place for me to be because of the amount of fails and now the latest lining issues ect. Hense why I stick to the over 40's thread now as no other threads are safe for warrier women like us.
I also want to say thank you to two ladies who kindly offered me their gonal F pens. You know who you both are I also want to add if you ever have left over meds make sure you take them back to the clinic. Privately Gonal F costs $1200 per pen so there might be people out there who they would mean a lot too. God knows this IVF costs a bucket load as it is.
Anyway so I am still waiting for day 1. Wazza has put me on provera to try to get my cycle started. High progesterone levels are stopping it so hopefully might be started again next week. Wazza thinks I got a low lying infection from the d and c last year which explains my lining issues. There may be some scarring too, he thinks the only way to beat it is to keep pushing with the medications.
@BIB I was going to say put me down for June but I don't know really mayby wait for the lining scan as I may get cancelled again. Definitely no 2016 baby for me. We were really hoping to be due in or around x'mas. I am sick of sad x'mas's surrounded by other peoples babies and children. I am sick of having to avoid going to xmas parties ect because of this. And another year bites the dust...
@Blossom74 oh no thats awful! look after yourself, Im glad you have an answer though and are on your way back to good health.
Enjoy the couch and I hope you are feeling better! Thanks for the congrats! Its all happening, next step is counselling which is in the process of being booked.
I'm trying to fit in lots of work today since I was so distracted last week organising all the donor stuff.
How did @Tinachris go on saturday? Did you take the valium??
rest up @Blossom74, I hope the AB help quickly. sounds painful.
I've been busy at work, mammoth amount of readings for new class & entertaining my sister's cat who's visiting - he seems to get bored here as he's stuck inside when he's used to being an outdoor cat. he's sleeping now & looks very cute
@Blossom74 as a fellow UTI sufferer you have my sincerest sympathies. I hope the antibiotics kick in fast and you feel better soon. I am also glad they picked it up before it did any more damage or you developed further complications.
