Default Confusion over trying straight after mmc

    Hi ladies
I had my second mmc at 10 weeks on 29/4, baby sadly only grew to 7+2 but I had no idea until a routine scan. I mc naturally at home, it was horrendous but my body seems to have recovered quicker than after my first mc which ended at 8 weeks and where I was given cyotec to move things along. My bleeding has lasted just over two weeks and I haven't had any now for nearly a week, in fact I think my body might be gearing up to ovulate although it's impossible to tell at this stage and OPKs have never worked for me. I just go by CM. A part of me is tempted to try again right away even though we've been offered mc testing now after two mcs and told to wait one cycle. It's so confusing to know what to do! So many people seem to go on to have successful pregnancies straight after mc and my body feels ready for another. Having said that, I'm terrified if we do fall pg and it fails again, I'll wish I'd waited and got testing done. Any similar experiences or advice? Thanks

I went to my OB, and he didn't hesitate to prescribed clomid. I didn't start taking it for a solid three months (he wasn't monitoring me at all, gave me the treatment and sent me on my way).

Looking back, I just wasn't ready. There is a difference between being physically ready and being emotionally ready, and emotionally, I wasn't there yet.

I hope you are doing ok, sending

My ob told me to wait until AF arrived before trying again. I hated the idea at the time, but I think emotionally, it gave me the month to grieve for my baby, without stressing about ttc.

    Sorry for your loss😞

I've also had 2 mmc's and was given differing advice after each. First we found out at 12.5wks and had a d&c the next day. My gp advised us to wait 6mths!

My 2nd mmc was 10.5wks. I tried to go down the natural pathway with miso but after a few failed doses I still required a d&c 5wks later. I was told (by the maternity hospital) there was no physical reason for me to wait, it's the emotional side of things. We were though pregnant with ds 5wks later.

Thanks for your responses ladies. I'm sorry to hear of your losses. It's a really tough thing to go through It turns out I needn't have been confused about ttc before my first period, I must have ovulated right when mc bleeding stopped because about 2 weeks later I got my period anyway (a few days after I wrote the original post). My cycle has been tracking pretty normally and I'm in my first two week wait since mc, but I'm not getting hopes to high as DH and I only had one go during my window, he had to go interstate for work after that. Frustrating! I guess there's still a chance tho. We'll see! Thanks again for your replies.
