Our wedding was 6 years ago. This was my dress - made to order by a local wedding dress designer. I chose a design from her collection and made a few changes to personalise it.

Everyone has such beautiful dresses! My was uber casual but the wedding was very low key. It was just a knee length lace dress by Lover. If I ever lose my baby weight I will be able to wear it again!

loving all these dresses! great thread!

I think the only thing I regret about my dress was the sheer volume of it and how far we had to travel with it. it wast the most practical choice given the distance and it wasn't overly practical for the beach. I had to spend $600 getting it specially cleaned after as the bottom of it was grey from the beach sand lol

to get it to our wedding destination I had to vac seal it. was terrified it'd be like a flat pancake on arrival but it was incorrigible! it puffed up beautifully once unpacked lol

what did everyone do with their dresses after the big day? I was originally going to try to sell mine but figured I wouldn't get much for it being non-designer so I kept it for sentimental reasons. I should see if I can get back into it one of these days, I don't fancy my chances though πŸ˜‚

This was my dress. I loved it so much. It's a bit hard to tell from the photos but the details on the front and shoulder are peony pink.

And my bridesmaid dresses. We had them specially made. They were more mint green than it looks in this photo

Hope you can see the detail on the skirt? it was this wavy detail, can't remember what the fabric was called but it was in this swirl/wavy arrangement, in a very light pink colour. sort of reminded me of roses the way that fabric sat. was relatively inexpensive as far as wedding dresses go, this it was based on a Vera wang design. I wasn't too fazed with spending up big on the dress. you only wear it for one day!

we had a very intimate/small wedding overseas and didn't bother with a wedding party (i.e. no bridesmaids/matron of honour and no groomsmen/best man)
    Love! Mine was pink too!

Obviously not on me, but taken by the photographers. I got this at Karen Willis Holmes - it comes in white too. Looked far better on my skin than white.

I think the blush colour was nice. I barely wear white normally and it just didn't feel right for my wedding. the pastels suited the wedding destination anyway (Cayman Islands)
