Have you looked at any NIL (no interest loans) schemes in your state? The centrelink website has links.
As for accessing your super, I know a few people who have done this and were approved for a portion pay out.
There are also housing places that will pay (or contribute) to your rent as a once off. You'll need a letter/proof from your real estate agent noting you haven't paid that month's rent. Assuming you have a healthcare card?
Have a google to see what's available in your area. Good luck. We all fall on hard times and it's so stressful.

Ah sorry just saw this. So you won't get access to your super at this stage but I'd still call up a local housing charity to get you through the next month and possibly receive help to pay your rent.

    Hugs.

Call Centrelink, explain the situation and how you're feeling they may be able to help.

Call your real estate agent. Often they would rather know you're having trouble but trying to fix it - rather than have to chase you for the rent.

Is there any family you can look to for help?

Any expenses you can immediately cut? Netflix/Foxtel, mobile phone, Internet - just until you get back on top?

So sorry you are in this situation I really hope you get more work soon.

If you have health insurance and don't have plans to use it for month or two you can put payments for that on hold for a month or two. Same with any bills due.

Can you apply for jobs such as cleaning until a job you want comes through? Can you travel a bit further? Look at moving to a more regional location that may be short on nurses?

I'm pretty sure you can still apply for Newstart you just have to report your earnings fortnightly, so if you earn nothing for a week you will get a payment, if you work a little bit your payment will drop etc. You definitely need to call Centrelink.
