If you have elevated killer cells then they treat it more aggressively with high doses of prednistone and clexane and intrapillids infusions. There is also something they use called dex?? I got tested for them when they took a utirine biopsy be warned the test got me over $1000. I was Not happy but there might be a cheaper way IDK. The bill I got was from the pathology. I did get about $300 or so back.

Understood...the only question would be adequate dosage of mainly the Prednisone IMO.

Some of the other Lovelies more experienced in NKC's and Clotting Disorders will hopefully chime in when they can with their thoughts

I hear you Luv and you too @Blossom74

When the Ex and I were Cycling, my eldest sister loaned us a portion of the upfront $ to Cycle (basically all of the Medicare refunds for everything plus an extra couple of thousand) and we'd save all of the OOP costs for everything plus the shortfall to give back to my sister. When we'd get the Medicare refund, we'd give it back to her + the shortfall I had stashed away. Then we'd save up again and when we were ready to Cycle again, she'd loan us the $ again and off we'd go all over again and again and again.

Without her help there's no way we could've kept Cycling. My Papa also donated a few grand into the IVF Kitty to get us started on our first Cycle, God Bless him

Money wise, there is no way we could afford an extra $1000 for a test. We are making some big changes our way ATM so I think my FS will just have to do the best he can with what he's got, lol.

I can't afford intralipids, it's as simple of that. There will have to be another way. Anyway, it's a mute point - I may not need them yet. All of this will be raised with our next cycle though.

There could be an option to ask for the testing to get bulk billed. Mine wasn't the $1000 bill was a "nice" surprise that came in the mail a few weeks after the surgery. If it helps fish oil is supposed to assist with immunity issues. Wazza recommends 1000mg tablets 1 per day. Plus the Pred and Clexane. Some take higher doses of it. I take 10mg a day and wazza upped my clexane to 60mg pens. I read that some ladies take 25mg of prednistone.
But like I said my tests were all sweet still I take prednistone and clexane. I have been on the Pred since March. Never bother weaning of it as one cycle leads into another but this time I have been told to lower my dose to 5mg until I get my new plan

That does help @Maxwellsmum! Fish Oil I can do. In fact, I saw it at the chemist the other day, a gazillion tablets for $20. Shall drop in there today!

I watched the show but tried to stay away from the comments. those in my twitter feed weren't too bad. I thought it was a bit one sided. I don't think all the clinics behave as they described. we were told the very low % success rates regularly and haven't been pushed to take the extra meds/treatments. I was sad for the women speaking - one was pretty angry and bitter (& I'd pre-ordered her book a couple of weeks ago but now I don't think I want to read it). they did show one younger couple going through ivf - at first I thought it was going to be purely 35+. I thought they could have mentioned donors too.
