Does any one have real life experience of toilet training a puppy? If you do, help!!! How in the heck do I do it??? I'm failing miserably.
Oh no Luv....my sincere condolences to you & your family😦 (((Hugs)))xoxo

Yes...it must be frucking terrible for people/animals to have to sleep rough in winter!!😢😢😢

The scone sounded delish!!!😊 No toilet training advice sorry!!😐

Thanks girls. I'm glad to hear it takes months rather than weeks. Unfortunately with my cat being ill I had to clean up after him throughout the house using Dettol spray which presumably has Amonia in it, so I think the house most probably just screams out "wee on me" to my little puppy. I clean up his accidents with a non-Amonia cleaner.
Again unfortunately, to a puppy, as much as I try to play it cool, cleaning up accidents that involve tissues being wiped quickly over the floor screams "game on" to a playful puppy who just wants to wrestle the tissue and run off with it and kill it!
Im going to buy him a lead today and I'll check out the wee drops. Ta for the tip.
I asked for the cheekiest puppy in the litter. Am I rueing the day?!! I'm so not into the leader of the pack mentality. He's completely walking all over me and I'm guessing this is leading to behavioural difficulties. Time for puppy school cheeky fur ball!!

They way I see it is if it was her and DP their chances would be about 60-70% so I'm prepared to chance it again with her eggs, if this fails I may just go it alone with DE and DS!
Tentative transfer date is the 8/6 last time it got pushed back because they were slow growing, I'll probably get the call on my birthday - none to transfer, last time the call was Christmas Day!!!!

Re puppy toilet training it does take a few months in my experience, if you don't catch them in the act there's no point doing anything, just positive reinforcement when they do it outside
    Good luck
Have you had his sperm tested in depth for balanced translocations for eg etc etc recently to see?? Would he even be up for that or would he strongly object do you reckon Luv??

Is it getting to that point where you're at the end of your rope?? Hmmmm.....they would've ICSI'd them last time as well I gather?? Do they offer IMSI or PICSI?? Just trying to think of ways that might help in choosing better sperm on the day???

I'm still hoping & praying over here for you Luvxoxo

Oh yeah it took us about a year lol! Probably ours were the worst! But ours walk all over us and we know it. They are 4 and still will pee and poo on floor if we forget to put a wee mat down when it's raining! The drops were expensive but I think they worked for ours. I just use a spray of vinegar and water to clean up messes. He sounds super adorable, he'd walk all over me too. Tissue games are cute

Puppy pee pads @Tahli. Put them down and encourage pup to wee on them. Try to take them out as much as you can to the grass to go as well. Do you know my best investment ever is a doggy door. I love it, they love it it is a win/win.

Also FYI is your pup a boy or a girl if it is a boy he won't learn how to **** his hind leg until he gets taught. My boy used to watch his big brother and his big brother saw a neighbours dog doing it. Such a proud moment as a mother of boy dogs 😂🐶😂🐶

& once they are toilet trained the chewing begins..shoes, couches, mums bras. Then they learn how to take the washing of the line for mummy as well; which is heaps of fun swinging from the clothes until they are pulled from the pegs.

So apparently c.ock is a swear word. @Tahli I meant to say sorry about your granddad too. I lost 3 of my grandparents quite close together in 2013 and 2014. One I was really close to & I still miss her so much every day. The others not so much but it is always sad to lose someone especially a relative who has been around throughout your life xo

@Maxwellsmum He's trying to rip the back of my knickers off through my tracksuit pants as I type. It's a specialty of his!! He sleeps draped across my neck or with his head nuzzled down my pj top, so he can get skin to skin contact. Maybe he's having an identity crisis with a kangaroo. He definitely helps with the washing, both creating it (today I'm washing 3 wool doonas from him peeing on them in the last 24 hrs) and pulling the lower hanging garments off the clothes horse. He wants to be held while I'm on the loo. Biting, chewing, barking, crying. He's ruling the roost.
I rang the RSPCA to check out their puppy schools. I just need to work my qld dates out so I can figure out how to slot things together. I'm meant to be seeing Wazza on the 24th June. I'm also meant to be flying up to Noosa for a weeks holiday from the 27th June. I can bring forward my qld flight and stay in Brissy for an extra 3/4 days but 1.5wks is too long to leave puppy really.

@Tinachris A year?!! God help me!! I'll go insane!!!! I use the puppy pads. He'll use one for his middle of the night loo trip. And I have food treat/rewards for if he uses it during the day (once a day if I'm lucky). Obviously the pads are made for grabbing between his sharp little fangs and running away with to stash in his puppy bed, which again is obviously not made for sleeping in, but rather for stashing his extra special finds. I've put two puppy pads out now.
