@calypso75 those northern accents are so hard to understand!! Back in the day I hooked up with a fireman (unfortunately not in uniform) in Belfast and I could barely understand anything he said...turned out it didn't matter tho
The Scottish accent Im pretty good with as Ive spent a lot of time around Scots. The other week DH and I were watching a doco with a Glaswegian criminal dude and DH couldn't understand anything he was saying, and I was struggling too. They needed subtitles!! But yeah, I reckon the Northern Ireland accent is one of the hardest.
Thanks for the roll call @faithandhopellove its really handy to know where people are at as otherwise I have no idea.
@Bongley thats really nice about your SILs ring, its nice to have little reminders of people you've lost, sometimes reminds you to put stuff into perspective I think. The backyard sounds nice, lets hope the doggies arent being naughty as we speak
and just on the nurses doing the scans, I find that completely outrageous!! Through RPA they send us to Syd Ultrasound for women where the Sonographers are very experienced and are trained Sonographers. And thats a public system clinic!!! I would seriously complain about that, for the amount of money you pay these people that just seems so bad to me. I have a feeling tho when I did that one cycle at IVFA it was all in-house and it was probably a nurse too as it seemed very basic compared to where I was used to.
I wish I was going overseas too!!!
I used to live in Dublin and was married to a Dubliner. Incidentally I had the hottest dream about him lastnight, completely out of nowhere! I developed the Irish lilt but it's all gone now. I remember sitting in a pub post separation and an elderly man said to me "Didn't anyone tell you...Irish men make incredible lovers but losey husbands".
Sexiest male accent by faaaar is the Scottish accent. Yum!!!
CD1 for me today and not having to worry about meds is glorious! Oh and I just ate chocolate and don't have to feel guilty. There's some benefits to not cycling ladies!!
Northern hemisphere is definitely in here! I am also Irish, but from the south. Been in Oz 10 years so I sound like I just got off the boat 😊
@calypso75 Thanks for touching base hun. If I was doing a final OE cycle I'd do it with Wazza. At least then you know you've had the kitchen sink thrown at your last cycle. You've suffered so many miscarriages (sorry, that's not meant to be a painful reminder) he may have some sort of insight??
Im not cycling with Monash anymore but I'd be worried about the nurses missing something important. I pay $165 for a private follicle and lining scan with them. The professional sonographers still do the private scans. I wonder how much it saves them by having the nurses do it.
And to the girls sitting on the sidelines, who are struggling with very dark scary thoughts, huge supportive compassionate hugs. Hopefully there will be a time, in the not to distant future, where you feel like this is a place you'd like to return to. We miss the three of you.
