As a stop smoking aid its subsidised on the PBS for 3 months in every 12 month time frame that you can apply to access the program.

@BiB I'd try what the others suggested, but also a letter/email to your local parliament member wouldn't hurt too. haven't they been rolling back some of those medicare/BT proposals recently? they might be in the mood to do more about medication on PBS.

I second this, great idea! Also, is there any generic option?

@tegs26 - I think your BT will have some great numbers. Fingers crossed for you!
@MissDa - good luck with your new cycle, have you started any drugs? Have they pencilled a date for your transfer?

So sorry @Bradders. I thought it was a really good sign with the metallic thing, it's such a head fruck getting symptoms that you haven't previously had, I think I've had most of them by now so I never expect anything to mean a thing. It still hurts. I hope you can treat yourself to some naughty stuff, whatever that may be.

@BlondeinBrisvegas that sucks about the price difference, surely a good gp would take your circumstances into account and just put it through the quit smoking route. I would plant the idea in their head and see what they say. If you explain your situation surely they would just do it? Otherwise hang outside a workplace with the smokers and walk in stinking of ciggies, then ask

    hope @JulieMalooley is doing great
