    Default IVF over 40 #32

@Tahli - gorgeous puppy! I hope your settlement goes quickly so you can move on. @midnite1 - your move sounds exciting, congrats on the new house! Not long now! @BlondeinBrisvegas - glad your meds have settled down. I hope you don't have to change them too often. Thanks for keeping the list updated! @Blossom74 - I'm glad you are busy over the next few days. Virtual hugs

I think you have done well love to change meds and manage side effects on your own. A friend of mine spent a month in hospital while they weaned her off one lot of meds and started her on the new ones. The old ones weren't doing the job but the new have much worse side effects apparently... hence the monitoring. Sometimes I think the IVF experience has prepared us to deal better with other stuff that happens in life. Other times I just get angry that we have to face any other challenges at all. Surely we deserve a break.

    Your poor friend Luv

That sounded horrendous!! Mind you, she was in the right place for getting all the support she needed thankfully.

The worst of it is over for me. Still dealing with the insomnia fall out but used to doing that anyway as I suffer with it & have done for years as part of my "Mental Health Issues" Mine's more of a cyclical nature.

As for the meds....I was diagnosed with clinical depression/anxiety disorder when I was 23 yrs old (though I know it started when I was in my early teens I just didn't know what it was & it was very mild & didn't last for long in the beginning) with a bit of PTSD thrown in around 9 yrs ago for good measure, so have ridden the "medication merry go round" quite a few times over the years ...finding meds that work then when you do, years later having to change because you've built a tolerance up so they become less effective or totally ineffective. There's a genetic predisposition in our family on my Mums side which is a concern for me in regards to DD also

I agree that IVF does toughen you up Luv. It builds a resilience inside of us we never thought possible. Agree we shouldn't have to deal with any more crap either after going through that sh!t!!!
