I would also be interested to see if you find out anything from the nhmrc. It would be nice to chat about this in an 'Australian forum' as I find the US ones massive and not personal.
We have two boys and are thinking about it but realistically would only do it if it became legal in Australia.

Just looked on the NHMRC website. It says:

"The ART Working Committee is currently considering the 186 submissions received as part of the public consultation process which closed on 17 September 2015. The Working Committee met in December 2015 and February 2016 to consider the complex issues raised during public consultation. Finalisation of the Working Committee’s advice to AHEC continues, with the next meeting of the Working Committee scheduled for May 2016.

Under the NHMRC Act draft ethical guidelines must be approved by AHEC and the Council of NHMRC before being issued by the NHMRC CEO. At this time, NHMRC is unable to provide a definitive timeframe for the completion of the review; however it is anticipated that the revised guidelines will be released during 2016."

I just rang and basically they point you to the website. Another meeting scheduled for May. The guy I spoke to said the wording of 'revised guidelines' 2016 would suggest a decision will be made this year! Time will tell I guess.

Yeah exactly! I would rather do it here than travel to US. I also rang and spoke to gender selection Australia. They send over more 20 Aussie couples a month! Where are all these people?! I want to talk to them! Surely there is another forum about somewhere?!

As you know I've done it but I think a lot of people don't like to talk about it as some people get very emotional about it. Each to their own I say.
