A friend did this in the US after 2 boys and 5 miscarriages with boys and girls. It cost them around $35,000 out of pocket but they have the daughter they always wanted. But that money is and was nothing to them as they can afford anything and not batter an eyelid about the cost. This was 8 years ago. The drugs alone now are around $15,000 alone for the treatment

I'm not worried about money either. I just want to be able to choose the sex. I have so many questions to ask but don't know any forums to talk to people who have done it.

There are us based forums like fertile thoughts.

Based on other threads on this topic it's very emotional and most members on here are very anti it so I'd try googling us based forums.

You could also speak to an infertility doctor about it here even though it is available here there needs to be massive medical reasons like genetic disorders in having a particular sex of child. Aust is still a few years away from it becoming legal for anyone to do this. I spoke to a friend just now about this who also wants to do gender selection and she spoke to her gyno a couple weeks back here in SA, part of the requirements that will be for Australian law will be that you would of already had say 4 boys to be allowed to try for a girl with gender selection and vice versa. But even if you go to American and are successful with there is still the risk of the implant not actually taking

I know that currently the nhmrc are debating whether gender selection should be legal in Aus and the results should be available mid year. You could always contact nhmrc?

I think Genea IVF in sydney do it thru bangkok. You can do meds here then egg retrieval and implant in bangkok. I think you need to stay there about 2 or 3 weeks.
