We did our first dance to (baby I've got you) on my mind by powderfinger. We learned a dance and everything and DH forgot some of the steps on the day 😂 oops! Some of the other songs we used/considered for our wedding that would also be good for a first dance:
Happy ever after in your eyes - Ben Harper
Not fire, not ice - Ben Harper
    Better together - Jack Johnson
    Smile - Uncle Kracker
    Love Serenade - The Waifs

Out of your songs I only know one which is lifehouse but it is a beautiful song.

I have already chosen mine songs (even though I'm not engaged yet lol) but they suit me and dp as we are reggae fans. These are a few I've chosen plus some extras that would be beautiful

    - I love you, Rebel souljahz
    - can you feel me, anthony hamilton
    - don't let go, spawn breezie
    -prosthetic love, typhoon
    -Groovin slowly, john butler trio
    -the promise, Tracey chapman
    - sweet thing, van morrison

Most of mine are a bit different but all are special to us. If he is into aussie hip hop then would be cool to find something in that genre to suit his tastes.

Well I've come to a decision- we will have Adele Make You Feel My Love.

Now apparently I have to have a bouquet toss song- who knew?!

Can't remember what our cake cutting song was (something random our musician chose) but our first dance was to the John Mayer version of XO by Beyonce. So beautiful.

We are a bit old skool and had Sting -Fields of Gold as our first dance.

I completely forgot to allocate a cake cutting song and as such the DJ took it upon himself to play whatever he thought was best - omg it was terrible boy band song I can't remember which one but I remember saying to DH as we cut the cake, WTF is this music?! We just grinned and pretended all was ok but omg it was a terrible song 😂

Worst thing about it was we actually gave him an extensive list of songs to choose from throughout the night and he was to strictly only play music from that list - which he did - except for the cake cutting?!

I wouldn't even know what was happening during our cake cutting!? we got married on a beach and the photographer had to take the pics before sunset so we actually cut the cake right after the ceremony lol. no idea what was playing, maths just background music?

we didn't do a first dance either. but we were married on the beach and reception was on the beach plus we had a tiny wedding so it didn't really lend itself to dancing. also dh and I have 2 left feet and I can't stand dancing in public! so I was glad to navigate around that issue 😂

the song playing as my dad walked me down the aisle was mark knopfler wild theme (acoustic, played by a solo accoustic guitar player) then somewhere over the rainbow as we walked out just married.

the whole thing was quite a blur to be honest lol
