    Default Wedding Music

    Hello everyone!

I'm back with another annoying wedding question- sorry (I bet you all can't wait until the damn wedding is over so I stop asking stupid questions- frankly I would also like that to be the case!)

In any event, I've been searching for months now but just haven't found that first dance song that makes me go- that's definitely the one.

I have contenders, and if I haven't found anything else by the time I have to send the info off to the dj, I could choose one and be somewhat happy with it... But none of them make me sentimental when I hear them and I don't feel any of them are really up df's alley. (Having said that, he likes hill top hoods, illy, bliss and Esso etc so trying to get a first dance song from one of his fav artists is... Difficult)

    My contenders this far are:
    Adele- one and only
Adele- make you feel my love
    Life house- you and me
Sleeping at last- 500 miles (I like that this is quirky, I actually think df would be flat out no though)
Sleeping at last- every little thing she does is magic
Dewayne Everettsmith- it's like love (some of you will recognise this from an Australia campaign a few years ago. I think df will immediately say no because it has a bit of a country feel to it)

Id love feedback on any of those songs (did you use one? Do you love one? Hate one? Been to ten weddings and all had that one song?) or suggestions of your own.

Also- I need a nice cake cutting song. Idk what the heck is a good fit for something like that- all the suggestions online revolve around the word sugar. I get it, but surely we can do better, right?

    Over to you, brains trust!

I actually don't know any of the songs you've listed. We had Etta James' "At Last". I heard it on an ad for a new toll road in Melbourne. So romantic 😆

I have no idea what played during our cake cutting. I don't think anything, I think it was just background music.

We didn't have a 'first dance', nor did we play music for the cake cutting.

We had a garden wedding and I walked down the garden path on Dad's arm to "Somewhere over the rainbow" -
    Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwo'ole version.

I love at last I also feel that since we've been together for 10.5 years we can't really dance to "at last/ my love has come along/ my lonely days are over" etc

Also love that song. I've listened to it so often that I'm a bit over it though

I've heard Dream a Little Dream by the Mama's and the Papa's as a first dance song as well which was sweet.

What about Eat It by Weird Al Yankovic as the cake song? 😆
