    Default Does my sibset work?

I don't care too much about Matchy Matchy but I want their names to at least not seem just strange.

We have Hilary, William (dSs), Fiona, Jonah.

    So far my choices are:

    Girls:
    Ellen
    Julie/ Julia
    Meredith
    Malory
    Heather
    Meghan
    Beth

    Boys:
    Solomon
    Shepherd
    Roderick
    Erik
    Gilbert
    Saul
    Wren
    Bodhi
    Ronan
    Huon
    Aaron
    Abel
    Loyal
    Arthur
    Douglas

I'm totally crushing on Arthur for a boy (stepsons maternal grandfather is called this however, so I'm not sure if this is too weird?!)

And I'm crushing on Meredith or Mallory equally for a girl

    Thoughts?

Meredith is beautiful. Arthur is nice but I prefer some of the others on your list. Honestly, I don't think Loyal works with your sibset, nor as a name at all. It's just too far from the norm. I have a friend with a similar name and he loathes his parents for it. He changed it to John the second he could.

I really like Arthur, Gilbert and Erik from your boys list and Meredith and Beth from your girls.

Meredith, Mallory/Malory and Meghan/Megan are all on my list for the Bub we are trying to conceive now if it's a girl so those are my favourite there

I don't care for Arthur but that's because of someone I know. Not the name itself. I like Douglas most from your list, in terms of name itself and with "fitting in"

    Thanks that's a good point.
Let me know which names you feel suit better than Arthur. My close second would be Shepherd but again not sure if that's too... Left of centre?!

I love Arthur for a boy!

Meredith for a girl works well with the rest of your set. 😊

I like Arthur, Gilbert (huge crush on Gilbert Blythe!), Solomon and Abel for a boy and Meredith, Julia and Heather for a girl.

Out of your girls names I would go for either Beth or Juliette (I prefer this to Julia or Julie).

Boys I would go for Ronan, possibly Ren (I prefer this spelling over Wren). I quite like Bodhi, but don't think it is in the same style as your other children's names).

Gilbert Blythe is the very reason Gilbert is on my list 😂
