Default Things to do in Hawaii

Flights are booked, passports are ready. In 66 days we will be Hawaii bound! After some suggestions of things to do, we will be there for 10 nights (staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village) with 6 of us all up, 3 adults and 3 children (ages 11, 9 and 3) we don't want a jam packed vacation and looking at relaxing more then anything

Holiday was amazing! We did sooo much shopping and saw pearl harbour, went to a luau (where DH was pulled on stage to do the hula), hiked up a volcano crater, lots of beach activities, drove out to the bluest beach on the island and saw a WALMART! Lol it was incredible and such a beautiful place

The Hilton was great! The people there are so friendly, rooms are nice and with all the shops and restaurants on site you have everything you need although it's all cheaper off site. Luaus are a must and so incredible to see, if you don't mind hiking then I definitely recommend diamond head but get there early before it gets hot, Kailua beach is so beautiful and pearl harbour is interesting but be prepared you can't take bags or anything into the actual facility for security reasons but they do have a bag storage office. The Cheesecake Factory was great but the meals are HUGE and if you stay at the Hilton try and get into Benihana for teppanyaki it was so good!

The flights were $5300 for 5 of us and our room at the Hilton was $4300 for 10 nights then the rest is food and shopping which depends on how much you want to spend, we did breakfast in our rooms with cereal to cut down costs and if we had a late lunch we would grab sandwiches from the shop and shopping you can do cheap just depends on where you go

    Things to do:

    - Eat all the food!! Cheesecake factory and Dukes Canoe Bar are a must!
    - Shop - Alamoana Mall (spelling?) and get a shuttle to the factory outlets
    - L'uau (book at your hotel)
    - Pearl Harbour (we did a tour)
    - Hire a car and do a day trip around the North Shore
    - Hananuma Bay - beautiful snorkelling
    - Walk up Diamond Head Point for stunning views
    - Wander around Waikiki Beach and the surrounding area
    - Eat shave ice
    - Go to whole foods
    - Buy all the cheap make up - Sophora!!
    - Beaches, sunbath, cocktails ...

I loved Hawaii and plan to go back next year

My DD thinks the Cheesecake Factory is the best place ever so she will be happy to hear they are in Hawaii! Anyone stayed at Aulani? We were considering a few nights there too.
