Default Fur babies vs real babies

This is just light hearted but does anyone else get fed up with pet owners comparing their pet to a real child? It drives me insane!

I had a friend tell me all about her dog being defiant and not being quiet when she asked it to stop barking and because of that she knows exactly how it feels to have a 5 year old son.

No! Argh it's not the same!

My brother in law is always saying his dog is "worse than a child"

It doesn't really bother me. He's gay and not likely to ever have children so I just let him go.

When you don't have kids you think it must be about the same. When you do have them you realise how drastically wrong you were. 😂

Default Fur babies vs real babies

My dog was my absolute world before I has children. I couldn't imagine how I could possibly love a child more than my "little girl". I would of jumped in front of a bus for her. I wanted her to be part of our wedding. When people told me I wouldn't love the dog so much any more once babies came along I was determined to prove them wrong..... But they were right 😊

It honestly doesn't bother me that people think of their pets as children. I was there once. It's good they have something special in their lives. They are so naive it's cute

Nope it doesn't drive me insane. For some people their pets truly are their babies till they have kids.

Of course once you have kids, you know there is a difference but my pets are still as important to me. I've had my Burmese cat for over ten years and I'll have to go into therapy when I loose him.

Not to heavy up the issue too but some people are trying to have kids and it's not going well, or they can't have kids so pets are just so important to them, you never know what's going on for someone else.

I'm with you OP. It drives me nuts. A "friend" on Facebook recently got (as in paid a professional photographer) "family portraits" done of her & her dogs. I've never seen something so ridiculous in all my life....!

Animals are not children!! I understand people live their pets. But they're still pets!
