Jen - I'm a half of a B/G twin myself and I have been known to say something similar when asked if my brother and I are identical...😆

It's just a Gem visa, it offers 6 months interest free on purchases over $250 but the interest after 6 months is excessive so you need to be good with paying it off. I used it for the bulk payments of Ivf here in Aus, clinic fees in SA, my OB fees here in Aus etc it gives you a bit of time to pay things off, but as I said, you need to be good with paying credit cards off on time. I think it also has an annual fee of $150 but it's been very useful for us over the years.

We have used our travel visa for payments. They are the ones you get from the post office or bank and you 'load and go'. So we transfer the amount needed from our savings into the travel cc. Its a bit cheaper then bank chq and i feel safer doing it as im not giving them my other cc details which has a large spend limit on it-just in case.

I think most of us on here are working with CFC (Cape Fertility Centre). I was referred by my FS but I also googled and stalked this forum until I was comfortable with my choice.

Thanks @Offshorechick. So do you contact the clinic or the egg donor agency first or does Cape Town offer egg donors too?

I contacted CFC first and they sent through the information that I needed, including a list of recommended donor agencies. There are other agencies that the ladies on here can suggest. Once you've made contact with CFC then you will contact the donor agencies. Both CFC and the donor agency are very helpful with the process.
